THE THEORIES

IMDB shows only Bertram and Partridge in the Red John reveal episode.

Listen up Mr Heller - You know, most fans want Brett Partridge to be Red John.  I can't see why you would not want to give your fans that gift, weve committed 6 years to follow your work.  Bertram is a shit Red John, lets face it...hes just a totally boring character that you have not developed.  In fact, its only Partridge, Kirkland and Stiles thats got any character weight through the series.  The rest are totally underdeveloped. It comes down to this....do you want to celebrate with your fans or celebrate with your vision?

Hit Plausible if you want Partridge to be RJ
Hit Unlikely if you want  Bertram to be RJ

This is a "Red John is NOT Brett Partridge" rant.

A while ago I submitted feedback that they should also have a section here for "Who is NOT Red John", but this has not happened.

People persist in theorizing that Brett Partridge is not really as dead as a floor snail.  But I truly don't believe that Patrick Jane and/or the CBI would not have thought of this very obvious possibility to escape from the list. They know Red John knows about the list. Would it not be a very obvious way to try and remove yourself from such a list? A way which a minimum of professionalism could easily prevent? Is Red John that stupid to even try it, even with all his possible buddies in the FBI/police/CBI?

Because if ONE not-dirty agent decides to really check, that's it. Game Over for Red John.

And also, many times we are not shown common sense moments on-screen. Like the CBI verifying that Partridge's body is really dead. C'mon, we can assume they did do that, or what kind of pros would they be?

This is not a soap opera, which is why Brett Partridge isn't going to magically appear alive and kicking and full of soap in Lisbon's shower one morning a la Bobby Ewing.

And like people saying that we never saw Jane being told about Kirkland's death. Please!  Do they have to show the actors taking a crap every day, before we know that they actually did do that? Would that be good TV, showing every mundane moment before we can know that it happened? This is not Big Brother or The Kardashians, it's The Mentalist. And since these guys only have about 45 minutes for an episode, some things can stay mental.

Characters that are likely to be part of next episodes:

- Former head of CBI Virgil Minelli. Someone who was such a prominent character in the first two seasons must come back somehow.

- Rosalind Harker: she's the only person capable of identifying RJ he hasn't killed (yet) and was a key witness in the previous seasons.

- Walter Mashburn: he's freaking rich and had a relationship with Lisbon. I have a hunch we might see him again in a way or another!

- FBI Agent Susan Darcy: we haven't heard of her ever since she fucked up 04x23 operation to catch RJ. What has she been up to?

- Kristina Frye: da fuck happened to her? When we last saw her she had presumably been hypnotized into thinking she was dead. Who did that? How is that possible? Where has she been?

- Agent JJ LaRoche: he has been an important character therefore he should have an important role in catching RJ over the next episodes.

- Michael Kirkland!!! His name wasn't said for no reason, if Bob mentioned a twin brother that has to have something to do with the story.

- Summer Edgecombe: who else has noticed how she looks just like the private investigator from 06x05?

I mean we aren't done with most of these characters are we? I really want to see them again. Which characters would you guys like to see again/ do you think we will see again?

In episode 1 Brett Partridge says "Classic Red John Smiley Face...I'm stoked to finally see one in the flesh."

But then 5 seasons and 20 odd episodes later, Red John's Rules he says:

"I've been at all of the Red John murders."

So... when he says "I'm stoked to finally see one in the flesh," what the heck is he talking about? He can't be talking about the smiley, as it first appears. He's actually talking about Patrick... right?

I have already made a theory on who and why I think that person is RJ

http://www.whoisredjohn.com/See-a-theory-Red-John/9976

The thing I'm more curiose on now is how the meeting will come together, we know that the final between them will occure in a park, just the two of them alone, that RJ will expose himself to Patrick, but do we know how he will do it, ?

Will he just call him, and ask for a meeting ?

I've read a few times that PJ would make sure that partridge was dead, before ruling him out. However, it just occurred to me that PJ was so worried about Lisbon, he may have been distracted. It could be the reason Lisbon was kept alive, just to throw PJ off. Misdirection!

SPOILER

It has confirmed the participation of Jack Plotnick (Brett Partridge) in chapter 6x08
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3196216/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

It is true that also appears Gale Bertram, but between Bertram and Partridge who is more likely to be Red John? Partridge Obviously, he is "dead" and appear in the chapter.
