THE THEORIES

I am fairly confident that Brett Partridge is Red John. He was there from the beginning, which I feel is crucial to the story and he is on the list of suspects.

Everyone knows how Red John likes to use artistry and "The Tyger" poem. After hearing that Partridge was dead, it immediately made me think of "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. For those of you that haven't read it, its basically about 10 people trapped on an island and each of them die one by one until there are none left so the police couldn't figure out who the murderer was.

This might also answer why he calls himself Red John, because the murderer in the novel is Justice Lawrence JOHN Wargrave whose death is described in the poem as "Four little Soldier Boys going out to sea; A RED herring swallowed one and then there were three." A red herring is something that basically misleads you from the truth. In the novel, the judge faked his own death to remove any suspicion that it was him. I believe that Partridge did the same thing. It seems like a perfect parallel type of artistry that Red John would use. I believe Jane will go through the list of 7, eliminating each suspect until there are none left. But actually Partridge is still alive, hence the red herring.

Of course I could be wrong and it could be a complete coincidence.

Anyone notice that Heller never said specifically that Red John will be caught/killed by season's end? Here are some quotes from Heller in an interview about Season 6...
"We're going to tell the story and explain who Red John is and what happened and what is going to happen as clearly as possible because the audience deserves that."
"By the end of the season, Red John is long gone."
He never actually says that RJ will be caught and killed/brought to justice. I'm not saying that I think they're going to draw this story out for any longer, but it just seems a little weird. Heller loves tricking the audience by feeding them false information through interviews. But then there's also this...
What if Renfrew meant to write "he is mar"? There doesn't appear to be a trail of blood made by fingers coming from the last letter of the word. "Mar" is a spanish word that can mean "the blue" in english. And the title of episode 9? "My Blue Heaven". Could this mean that we find out who Red John is, but he isn't caught? That the story continues in some other way? What do you guys think?

I think Stiles Partridge's father. Look for blue eyes.

Hi guys, first of all I apologize to all fans who are sick of all the Partridge theories. I understand how this can be annoying to someone who is very sure that he is dead.

However please listen to me. You can't deny that it would be very silly if Red John turned out to be someone who has only appeared from season 4 or 5. How can it be Haffner?? What if the show was cancelled after season 3? Would Bruno Heller just introduce a complete stranger to us as Red John in the last episode?? I don't think so..You have to agree that this is weird.

You must admit that Red John has to be someone from seasons 1, 2, maybe 3. (so: sheriff, Stiles, Partridge or maybe Bertram)

And if this is not the case and RJ is Haffner, then Bruno Heller has changed his original idea. In this case, I'm a 100% sure that originally Red John was supposed to be Partridge.

I'm not saying that its going to be him in the end, I'm just saying that it will be very disappointing if it's any one of the suspects from season 4 or 5, maybe even 3. (Bertram). Nobody even knew at the start of the show that these actors will be in it. So why does Bruno Heller say that he knew exactly what's going to happen from the beginning of the show? Surely this means Red John is somebody from the early seasons? What do you think?

I know you guys like short theories, so here's my long one condensed into meaningful sentences.

Bruno Heller says Redjohn likes Cold. Sophie Miller who conveniently only takes notes vocally says RJ has acrophobia (a fear of heights). Or does she? She could actually have said Jay Roth, aka, Redjohn has Acaraphobia, a fear of crawlers, termites and insects that bite. Why does RJ like cold? Because insects are cold-blooded and hate the cold, ergo, RJ doesn't have to deal with them.

Look at Partridge in the desert, season 6 episode 1. Geez, the buzzing of flies gets more prominent through the scene. And Partridge behaves oddly compared to his energetic, nerdy self. He looks very bothered. It would be easy to think its because of Patrick staring at him, but Partridge is irked by the flies. The location of the shoot was picked because it had a fly infestation. Of course the actors didn't know why (they had a good laugh about it), as Heller wanted authenticity in the shooting.

(Funny non-fact: Partridge likes pigeons because they eat termites and insects)

Crazy theory. Way too crazy if you ask me. For the benefit of those who didn't get to see it, here's the link!
