Pretty sure partridge (not the character but the human inside) is still alive...why? read on..

Well...Heller said there is a clue in the last sequence of s06e01. We saw a very different smiley in this episode that was drawn on Lisbon's face. People are thinking that it has open eyes because RJ did not kill Lisbon. But did anyone think of this: Where is the smiley for killing Partridge?
Yes...the smiley on the face of Lisbon is not for her but for Partridge. And it is different (had open eyes) not because RJ did not kill Lisbon but because he did not kill partridge. And I guess this is the big clue Heller is talking about...

For Guys who still do not believe that Partridge is alive:

Think yourself as RJ. You had two jobs to do:
1. Kill partridge
2. Kill Lisbon/ teach her a lesson for bugging cellphones

These two jobs are independent of each other..Why you will want them to be done simultaneously??
And there seems to be only one reason for me: Whoever RJ is, he wanted to show Lisbon that he killed Partridge...

And also there are many theories besides this: 
1. Partridge's throat was not slit
2. He was the woman feeding pidgeons in s06e02
3. Voice matches to RJ
etc.

My theory just tells why Partridge (not character but human) is still alive...Still I don't know who RJ may be...

So what do you think guys? Please comment if anything is wrong...

I just figured out something from re-watching the second episode. When Patrick Jane wipes the blood off Lisbon's face, I believe he's doing it so he can have the blood tested to see if it matches up with Brett Partridge's, since it's supposed to be *his* blood on her face. He's going to find out that the blood is *not* a match, and from that fact, he's going to know that Partridge is still alive (and most likely Red John)

So the reason Red John needed to kill partridge is because both PJ and RJ are aware that other people are searching for RJ and very interested in the names on PJ's list. If Partridge is Red John and the list has been stolen, that puts Red John's identity and more importantly, his life in direct danger.

Partridge needed to die first to protect himself from people such as Bob Kirkland, who has already demonstrated that he has no issue with killing....

The 'stolen list' mentioned in upcoming episode 4 is the list of names that PJ left up on his penthouse wall at the CBI.

Whomever PJ suspects, he is keeping to himself. In several episodes he discusses his 'memory palace'. PJ doesn't need to keep notes on a wall, they are stored safely in his head!

The reason for the fake list was to 'test' people. Knowledge of the secret contents of the list will draw some people out of hiding towards suspects. In essence, PJ is using some of the people on the list as bait!

Just a note, when watching the ending scene of S6 Ep. 1 - After Partridge is dead, we see the face being detailed onto Lisbon's face right?

Anybody notice how the eyes of the face are vertical down her eyes? - This isnt the usual style. 

Personally, no idea if this is done by a fake, the reason i put Brett as the suspect is just to create this note. But, what I will say is this - If the face drawn onto Lisbon was drawn intentionally different to usual, why. If not - Was it an RJ fan or accomplice making a mistake?

Guys, surely Red John is Brett Patridge!
I think we don't have to try more because we already know it...
Yeah, I know, you have read too many theories. I am not here to explain with an essay but..
-We never saw the body of Brett Patridge
-Brett Patridge may has a brother
-Red John could easily fool our characters "killing" his self!

Anyway, we will find out at 6.08 "Red John"...

Hello im folowing this site over a year and never post a theory.

my thought changes a lot about the identety of RJ as im sure as evreyone..

so...as we all see in season 6 the pidgeons seems to be in ep 1 and 2. and we know that heller said that there is a huge clue in the begining of this season.

now i look into the brace of partridge picture by whiliam blake. and also look in google "partridge" and i found this pidgeons... i belive the partridge is RJ but maybe a brother of the one we know or something like that because of his death.

think about it..why this pidgeons take place in the episode and the camera let us see them? this is the only thing i can come up with
