There are 2 of the suspects that play a role in that episode, Bret Partridge and Gale Bertram, but BP is only guest star (meaning he will only say "bla bla died.." and that's it), while gale bertram is recurring, and will be the only recurring star that is on the list in that episode = bye bye GB.

I think it's Brett partridge cause think about it Brett Partridge is a little under 6 feet and he is one of the seven suspects on the list and the director said that red John is on the list of seven names so just search up who is red John, go to images and he's there!!! If u see that then comment on this

He said in the pilot episode that Red John uses rubber gloves to draw a smiley face on the wall after killing somebody. However, he uses exactly the black rubber gloves after killing Ruth in episode 23 of the second season. How can he knows that. He has never seen Red John himself. He could have said that Red John uses other kinds of gloves for his crimes

I mean, he is, right? He managed to escape every crime he commited, he just has to be marvelous. How can someone say he isn't marvelous???

I think that red john is Brett partridge, however i also believe that bob kirkland and gale bertram are associates of red brett patridge "red john". The two are obviously working together and show suspicious behavior such as kirkland asking one of red johns associates whether he remembered him and killing him in hospital as he regains consciousness. I think Kirkland and Bertram are keeping close guard of the case and feeding the information to breett patridge as well as keeping there reputation clean as they know that jane may uncover truths about their association with red john. When kirkland broke into janes apartment he found the 7 suspects which is how red john knew all of the names. Brett was most probably someone Jane grew up with and carried a different name as a child so even janes perfect memory couldn't recall him. Patridge would of also known the girl that was in janes memory because he also knew her as a child  hence why he also killed her. Red john needs to have some sort of charisma or passion in his personailty  I guess you could say the other suspects aside from brett stiles are very serious or boring especially kirkland who comes off as any other criminal. Brett stiles knows brett patridge as patridge was part of visualise. Visualise was taken over by brett stiles, i believe the previous leader led visualise as a borderline satanic or evil cult which red john was known to be apart of or he led hence why his symbol was on the side of the barn it represented his ownership. Stiles is too much of a significant character to not be apart of the whole red john fassination but in saying this he would be way to obvious to be red john and also in my theory too old. I believe partridge fits the criteria because he is close age to Jane and as i stated previously possibly knew him as a child and now knows him later in life and has worked with him in a few cases especially ones involving red john. Partridge is intelligent and passionate about crime in a unhealthy and unsettling way that jane finds disturbing. Partridge, Kirkland and Bertram are all part of the police and have an inside and ways of finding out information on cases especially Bertram being head of the Cbi. Brett partridge has a very similar less put on version of red johns voice,his presence in season 5 is purposely done as he wants Patrick to slowly uncover his identity but not easily. Kirkland and gertrum are characters who seem power hungry and as we know red john gives his associates things that they desire which is the motive behind the association. Brett partridge is a csi investigator and would know the best ways to leave no clues behind of who he is as he has the knowledge of what is looked for at a crime scene. 

I money is on Bret partridge, however something weird that I noticed yesterday if you think of it 6 suspects are in law enforcement bret stiles seems to be the odd one out of the lot.
