hi, at first im not with theory's who said that Patrick is red john, because Lorelei said that Patrick and red john shook hands, so it mean's he is not, but my theory and guess is about Brett Partridge, he seemed like an idiot and enjoying too much his work (Patrick Jane said the last one) , but if we take a deep look isn't it a good undercover and a chance for Red John to watch closely the consequences and the result of his job , to see the fear in the eyes and maybe to hide an evidence and mistakes, another clue watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRR3PT-uk4w  . when i see Brett Partridge i see a deep anger and craftiness in his eyes.                                                                                                              think about it ;)

Brett said in the Pilot that it was the first Red John smiley face he had seen and says he was "stoked to finally see one in the flesh"and yet in Red Johns rules, he says he has worked Red John's murder scenes since the murders began! Hmm I'm not sure what to say about this but its another point in Mr Partridge's favour.

The list of 7 names was a clever red john trick.  The list was obtained by Robert Kirkland's agents and using the same process as Jane, he narrowed it down to the same names.  The list was not read by Lorelai, but by her twin sister is who actually not dead. Or lorelai is alive and it was her sister that was killed. Jane either already knows this, or will figure it out.  After all, he expected red john's accomplices to raid his office and was pleased when learned they did.  Whether he altered information in anticipation of this or not remains to be seen. If so, one name was left off the list which would be Red John.

I believe that red jhon is jane's brother Jimmy who is also Brett Partridge after changing his name .                                                                                               PJ is feeling guilty about his brother's death ; and he doesn't know that he survived ; that explains why RJ is just playing games with his brother ; and about that happy memorie I think that Jane has told it to his brother ; they are brothers that's why the end is going to be disappointing for Patrick
I am just guessing here but that's how the show works
If I am correct the question would be why would Brett killed his brother's wife and child?

Hello , i recently wrote Theory #3123 . I Used Partridge in that one so ill just use him here . However this theory is have might be confusing , Please comment if you can have a much better insight 

This a sudden realized i came across something . Some people are saying That Kirkland couldn't have been an accomplished of Red john ( or Him ) 1st they say he's too obvious And also because he couldn't have been him or in cahoots with him since the 7 names were stolen After Lorelei was "Dead" 

Now , Bruno Heller said Lorelei will appear in season 6 , not in a flashback ,or memory. But as live person. We all know that Red John is clever . it is possible to fake death . ( off topic But in Scream 2 , roman Bridger used a trick to not have is pulse felt to appear dead) Also In Season 4 The episode My Bloody Valentine Jane fakes his death by using the same trick by placing a Small ball under his arm where he says " No blood flow  , No pulse " So Red John could have easily Fakes Lorelei's death. ( the forensics could have easily have been in cahoots with red john as well )

So it's a possibility Kirkland could very much be Red John's Red right hand ( Or him )  , By taking the list of the 7 names after Lorelei's " Death " To make the video Postmortem So it like it was before her death , in order to trick Jane . 

Harker Rosalind Described Red John " Roy " to jane in details . She said " He smelled of Pine and Nails and earth "
And we know that Jane has met and shock hands with Red John so he knows his smell . Hence , Jane probably knows how is red john but he is waiting to catch him in the right time !
