Anyone who thinks Red John is Patrick Jane after Bruno Heller himself saying HE'S NOT is an idiot. It can't be, also it can't be anyone from the main CBI team and they can't be accomplices, otherwise any re-runs in the future would be weird and pointless. Plus the list is NOT fake. So please just get over it and get on board with the 7 suspects presented!

For me Red John has always been Brett Partridge.

He fits the profile. He really doesn't get on with Patrick Jane. He has the voice. He's the right age and for anyone who says he doesn't come across as someone who could manipulate people and be as powerful as Red John seems to be....one word for you...acting...It's called acting...and I think he has the potential.

There are so many other reasons why it's him but I know they've already been covered on this site :)

I put forward theory #2905 just under two days ago, wherein I argued reasons why I felt Red John was Patrick Jane, or if not him then one of the core four. Failing that, it absolutely has to be someone we were introduced to in the show's pilot episode given my reasons in my post (#2905). 

Rewatching the season 5 finale for the 5th time (yes 5th), I can't help but suspect Brett Partridge even more. I had urged everyone who read my post to pause the finale at the second Partridge turns to face Patrick with the Red John smiley face dripping on the wall behind him. I don't believe people bothered, therefore I am urging you now to look at this screencap I have taken, before it gets taken offline:

Coincidence that his face matches the one behind him exactly, yet by the time he has finished turning he looks innocent and surprised at Patrick's presence?

i am reading your awesome ideas but still that face in season 2 episode 8 ( when red john killed jenna peak ) was partridge.

the serial-killer Jack of All Trades. Jack of All Trades killed the husband of
Dr. Waters. After that there was a "special bond" between Dr. Waters and Jack.
Jack of All Trades loved to play Mind Games with Dr. Waters

Now
the similarities to Mentalist:

1.
Fake Jack of All Trades

In
one of the season finales they thought they caught Jack of All Trades. But it
turned out that this guy was a fake Jack of All Trades. He was just a follower
of Jack of All Trades - like in the season 3 finale "Strawberries and Cream". So
it was no surprise Timothy Carter was not Red John.

2.
Simple Minded Sheriff as THE SERIAL-KILLER

After
they caught Fake Jack of All Trades there was an episode in which Dr. Waters and
her team worked together with a "simple minded" Sheriff of a small town. It
turned out that this Sheriff was the real Jack of All Trades - he was just
playing dumb.

So,
Bruno, please don't let Sheriff McAllister be RED JOHN. This would be your
second "Profiler" copycat!!!!

I think
Brett Partridge is RED JOHN, for example because of his slip of the tongue
"using his right hand" and "the three fingers theory". And of course because of his "Hi" in the season 5 finale.

Its more than likely Brett Partridge. 

HOWEVER, I hate to say it but in the last episode Lisbon's role in all this Red John case is seeminglymore sinister. I think she knows Red John. I think Jane knows she knows rj. 

It's weird that;-

- her hand was in a cast and Jane quetioned her but with a weird look on his face
- Jane told her his memory after she could see something bothered him about the murder (could she have told RJ?)
- She was a bit weird in the room with partridge at the beginning
- she was pressing jane for the list of names
- when in the car jane and lisbon are talking about keeping secrets jane gives lisbon a look like, i know your secret and i can see right through you
- throughout the episode jane refers to lisbon not being a good liar
- libson tells jane shes so many secrets he doesnt know about, (but jane does know)

its all a bit WEIRD?! I hope Lisbon isnt anything to do with it- i want them to end up together!!

I think its Brett Partridge, he is a member of visualize and Robert Kirkland is his brother and is trying to clean up his mess so his brother doesn't get caught and Bret Stiles is their father.

Brett and Robert are both creeping around the whole time.

There has to be more than one person in on it to have it covered up this long.

And also I want to add more confusion to the mix .

I basically have 3 questions for the people who are more observant than I am and then I'll give my thoughts on who RJ is.

1. I think Lorelei mentioned it in the video, and I am wondering, how exactly can RJ know that Lorelei told PJ about the hand shake?

//I don't think she told RJ, because it was a "mistake" in the first place, she said it without thinking, so what? Can we say that she specifically realized such a small detail and even told RJ about it? Also, he was mad about it. Given that he probably knew before he caught Lorelei. In order for him to be mad, he would need something solid to make him believe that PJ will actually use that to narrow down a list or something.

2. How come all of RJ associates suicide, are too loyal to him, and would do anything for him? I don't understand, they remind me of spies who die for their country or something. How can one man have so much influence? 

//Who can have so much influence, power, information, computer skills, and unlimited $$ at the same time? To be honest it only sounds like a "religion" in a sense and it's branches with people in all these places. Visualize has to be definitely connected RJ. The only man who can probably do everything above is Stiles, but he is too old in a sense.

3. What exactly is the connection between the victims of RJ? How do we define him as a serial killer?

Most of his victims are people who pissed him off or something, or people who he killed to make PJ mad. Besides that, how are the victims connected? What does he go for?

//I know he is "famous" for killing some women or something, but I don't recall ever in the series of someone mentioning a pattern or something b/t the victims. It is interesting to me that the only similarity is the setting and the smiling face. I want to know if there are certain victims that he kills.

This is the reason I chose Brett Partridge for now:

He was there all along, and he is the only one from the list that sounds like RJ material. Of course he has a lot of help, and I believe he has someone inside PJs team. Also, all of the 7 suspects are connected to him as well.

The main reason I wrote this is just to see your comments about the questions I have.
