THE THEORIES

People, people, people . . . is naivety flavor of the month ? Have a
week off, will you ?  Kirkland appears, says "Thank you" with a sissy
voice and you are all sure he is RJ.  Now Haffner admits he is a
Visualize member and about the right age - and you are all prepared to
bet everything you own on him being RJ.  Who ever is a guest in that
single February episode, you will accuse him.  Can't you see that they
are messing with you, and it's so easy for them ?! To make your life
much easier, I will say it again :

IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE THAT OBVIOUS ! ! !

I'm
glad that last episode gave us some important facts, and the most
important to me is that those 10 names we saw in Jane's book - that's
not the final list, but only the beginning. And I've always believed that none of them is RJ. Jane eliminated a lot of names, including those he had brief encounters with, but never saw or heard again.

Other
important info, about RJ being a "kid" in 1988 . . . finally and
without a doubt excludes Partridge from being RJ. But I guess, there
will always be some of you pointing the finger right at him.

Also,
in this last episode, Lisbon tells Haffner that only Jane and herself
knew about Cooper sending files to CBI. That's not true. While leaving
Visualize hq, she phones GVP and tells her that they will be sending
files on Elliston farm. But when she arrived at Visualize, Haffner
called her to set up that lunch and he was right in front of her office.
He might've stuck around and got the info from GVP about Visualize
sending files to CBI. And at the end, he confirmed to Lisbon that he is a
Visualize member. But I have a feeling that he covered for GVP, because
she is also connected to Visualize and is a great asset to them, being a CBI member.

We've
seen RJ a couple of times so far, and he is at least 45 years old.
Personally, I would say he is 50-55 years old now, with 55 being the
upper limit, according to Jane. And he is someone who was not "In your
face" so far in the show, but someone who is almost forgotten by the
viewers.

It would be awesome if RJ is someone you would never
ever think of, like that show host from the Jane's flashback in the
pilot. Dude appears again in 5x01, presenting a check at the end of the
episode. He is an undeveloped character, but it would be mind-blowing if
they choose someone like that, who slipped under everybody's radar. I will look for those kind of characters.

To
sum up - I love how the show has become darker, I love that we finally
have new RJ facts, and I love how they finished Red barn. Make fans go
crazy until February 17th, and then let Jane give them some big names.
You bastards !  :)

1. In Season 2 finale when Jane meets Partridge, Partridge says "Hey, Jane. ****" It seems like the **** stands for "long time", but actually it is the same thing Red John says at the end of the episode when he saves Jane.
2. Patridge and Red John voice resemblance.
3. Jane scares Partridge when he comes back to the room after he left it, Red John scares Jane when he appears at his left side after he seemingly left.
4. The Tyger, a poem by William Blake, the author of A brace of Partridge.
But still, the question would be what is Red John's/Partridge's (RJ) reason for not simply killing Jane? The answer is simple. RJ is a narcissist and a manipulator. Toying with Jane gives him a feeling of power which is multiplied by Jane's unsuccessful atempts to catch him. And what can get him more off than a fact, that the man who helps CBI to solve any case, and is getting pretty famous for that, is unable to catch him. RJ's precise methods (which Partridge as a CSI must possess) are winning against Jane's guesswork.

I think there is 2 or 3 Red Johns. The first (and original) one, have been killing since the first victim until Patrick's family. In episode 1, theres two interesting facts, the first one, is the introduction of Brett Partridge, who seems to have knowledge of Red John's modus operandi. But also he seems to have some admiration to the killer, but i feel that is like a son admiration to his father, so I think. If Tanner had a son (Dumar), maybe Red John also had a son too. And that son, could be Brett. The "Roy" that visited Rosalind and raped Lorelei's sister, could be him, 'cause is not like the original Red John's modus. But whe know that the original one has some kind of "love" to Jane, but Patridge doesn't have one, he almost hate him. The second fact, is the introduction of Van Pelt, the start line of everything in the series, and also most interesting when Lorelei mention a "hand shake" with Red John before (to Jane). I think taht the trauma that Jane mention is, something, when young, Van Pelt saw. Maybe Red John killing someone, or something like that. She had a kind of relationship with Red John's (familiar or something). She ran away from him, until O'Laughin. When he died, she suffered a collpase, and Red John contacted her, and she went to here, She started to act different since O'Laughin dead. So maybe Patridge (the second Red John) and Van Pelt (an apprentice to third Red John), are working to the same man (or woman), the first one, but i don't have more information to think of someone. A theory i have, but i don't like it, ('cause will ruin my "perfect" series final) is that Timothy Carter, was actually, the original Red John, but he decided to retire and let Brett to follow the legacy.

Hey everyone i'm new here and i read a lot of theories and i thought why not share my own.
I think it's possible that everyone of the could be RJ but the most suspected are Patrick Jane, Brett Partridge and Bret Stiles, and I don't think Red John is Patrick or Bret this is why:

-Jane has an alibi for every murder. Rosalind said that he had short strait hair but Jane hasn't. Maybe it's him but he'd have to send someone to do the killings and probably Roy is just a friend of him who does some of the work. And fall in a deep trans when he kills someone and doesn't remember anything, like he has a personality disorder like in My Bloody Valentine with Jensen Ackles and everyone has to play with it.

-Bret is nothing like Jane based on Lorelei's theory and they never shook hands.

So maybe it's Brett. Patrick and him are kinda similar. The case with Kristina Frye when she was brainwashed and thought she was dead. Also Jane mentioned once that Brett brainwashes some of the Visuilise members and he knew where
Kristina was. And as said maybe Roy is just one of Red Johns friends.

This is a completely valid theory.

Why on Earth is this man ALWAYS present whenever there a case that looks like a Red John case… But in the end turns out to not be? And, he seems to piss Jane off… Never saw a handshake, but, it's still a valid theory.

Sincerely,

DR JOE NH

I  believe that Red John is two people working together in  classical serial killer style. Ellis Mars and Brett Partridge. Mars is the only link to Blakes poetry and pinged Jane's spidey sense in the dream sequence after he got Mars second card. Partridge is Mars protege...perfectly placed to clean up any stray clues if given the chance.
