There are still 14 episodes for the season's over, I honestly do not think The Mentalist will survive without Red John, so I guess somehow is not over.

I'm sorry guys... but my dissapointment can't stop to grow and grow.
Did you already read this crap?
http://collider.com/simon-baker-bruno-heller-the-mentalist-interview/
..and look this part:
Simon, when you got the list of the final seven suspects, did you have your own theories about which one was Red John?
BAKER: No.
HELLER: He was holding out for Jesus or Elvis.
BAKER: I was hoping that Quentin Tarantino would show up on that list. No, I didn’t have any theories, at all. Actually, I made a point to not read too far ahead with the first six or seven episodes. I would read the outlines, but I didn’t really want to read scripts too far in advance because I didn’t really want to get ahead of myself, at all. To be honest, I don’t have the time to come up with theories.
What??? "I don’t have the time to come up with theories. ".
Yeah. I just can say one thing: We're all idiots wasting time with this shit. I can't believe I lost more than 5 years with that. They really seem not care about us..at all.
So frustrating...I can't explain.
Oh My GOD!!
After all this times...all these efforts from everyboday on this site...I mean, through all amazing theories we've been reading... I just CAN'T BELIEVE 'they' did this to us. Such a lame finalle..and end of this great history of RJ & PJ.
Thomas?? C'mon!! ...and asking for mercy?? RJ??? Aham, right.
I think I have another theory: Bruno and his writer forgot ALL about the five seasons...forgot ALL about the history, clues, the drama, the feeling, the tension which were there everytime or every episode connected with RJ (and it went until s06e06, in that amazing end... being that s06e07 was already lame, weak and dissapointed as this 8th). And more...they forgot ALL about us, the fans, who sustends all this crap... because jeez!! they really forgot it was ALL about us.
Oh man! We really deserve more than that...definitely.
I can tell I loved the show through the years...but now... I almost feel as I wasted my time.
Well, that's my feeling. And if you feel the same...let they know that.
Sorry guys. It's finished for me.
PS:
Yeah, guys. Definitely not the entire Episode was a shame and lame.
At least one part...and frase was... awesome:
PJ to RJ: "...I have to say...I'm little dissapointed"
Yeah, Patrick. We all are too.
Just some observations I picked up, which make a point Heller has developed his characters for a reason- there is a real ending somewhere out there! I’ll do profiles of different characters if you like this, it’s up to you.
Ray Haffner: Some Fun Non-Facts
- Born Roy Tagliaferro
- Picked up in Italy during missionary work by Father Di Buono
- Killed 2 people on Visualize farm and meets Young Red John. *We saw the killer lurking in darkness. Its unlikely Haffner then drew the smiley in daylight in front of Martin Talbot. Young RJ drew it.
- Dropped his high-school class ring in the barn. (Later, it explains Kristina Frye's Roll Tide reference) Haffner played football in the same place as Kristina Frye's waiter. Haffner is expert with surveillance technology and Kristina was a RJ accomplice. Haffner was a very promising football player and has contacts who played in NFL such as Craig O'Loughlin
- Driven straight by Visualize, adopts new identity “Ray Haffner,” and he meets Bret Stiles
- Jason Lennon thought Ray was Red John
- Ray abducted Lorelei Martins’s sister
- He is not Red John
- He bugged Lisbon's phone so Red John could get the list
He saved Patrick from the copycat killers, tracking him down using surveillance. (Patrick makes a phone call just outside the same building before he goes in.) Haffner wore a headset to transmit Red John’s voice.
Haffner ties the hands of the people he shot in the farm (bodies in Red Barn) the same way Brett Partridge’s hands were tied. Haffner could trace Lisbon’s position, so when he sees her leaving her office, Haffner could leave to help Partridge. Since he knows he’s bugged, he could just leave his phone somewhere else. Haffner paints the smiley on Lisbon’s face.
Patrick's House: Haffner shot the people on the farm with a shotgun. Patrick repeats the ruse, but doesn't kill or shoot Haffner. He scares him. Lisbon's phone (bugged) is in Patrick's car so Red John thinks Haffner is dead.
My hope for Haffner: I hope that he gets killed by Lorelei Martins. (Yeah, she's alive.) Brett Partridge put a lot of make-up on her sister’s body and faked the DNA so no one would look into it.Jane notices that she’s not Lorelei and Jane actually wanted Lisbon to be bugged. (Jane’s got a huge plan… too big to write. Tune in Sunday night!) Jane’s known who Red John is for a long time.
That woman enters the church already armed. Why the sheriff asks for help saying "he wants to kill me please help"? At this point, it seems obvious that there is someone else behind! Pure logic, there's no doubt about this.
I am thoroughly disappointed, just like many of you, at the Red John episode.
However, just think about this. The whole series is based on mind games and tricks so could the RJ 'reveal' not be the biggest mind game of the whole show?
Partridge is rj
