Why it can't be easy?  Because Red John is the Director of the CBI names Gale Bertram??

So my theory actually ignores most of the evidence, because as far as I'm concerned at this point the suspects must be able to fit most of the evidence given or they wouldn't really be suspects to Jane. 

The events of season 3 seem to solidify Red John as a man of psychic ability, and again we have events in season 5 that seem to corroborate that fact.  However, Jane constantly proves that Red John uses Patricks methods of mental deduction.  In order to enter Jane's mind to get the list of the 5 suspects revealed at the end of season 5 he seeks out Jane's old therapist.

As such the events of season 3, Hightowers frame up, and Jane's resulting trap set up an event where Red John MUST be in the suspect list at the end of the season.  Because Red John knowing its a trap STILL has to accept Jane's terms and send someone in.  But in order to plan accordingly and be safe he has to take in all the information he has.  As such he cannot be prepared to enter bertrams room, AND repel down to o'laughlin's room UNLESS he is privy to both room numbers and as such the trap itself. 

Lastly when confronted about murder Bertram is incredibly cool about it, he doesnt question Patrick judgment but merely defends himself (reminiscent of the very first episode where jane points out that an innocent man would have punched him by now).  He during that conversation uses the phrase "at the end of his rope" which i beleive is a tactic to elicit Jane's memory of the trap knowing that Jane is about to spring his plan.  This mentioning of rope is inevitably what leads Jane to focus on o'loughlin and divert his attention to the other "Red John" in the room, and is a common practice amongst proclaimed "psychics"

To me RJ is Bertram. Almost everything makes sense that away, except...

Rewatched s06e01 several times. 

- Did or did not RJ knew he was being tracked by his phone gps? 

a) If he didn't knew, then who did the anonymous call and why? Not RJ, why would he warn the CBI? If he didn't knew he was being tracked he couldn't be calling to lure Lisbon to Brett house, so why would he call to CBI? It doesn't make sense. 
So maybe Brett did it? Before he got killed?  Maybe he was going to meet with RJ or another tyger tyger member at that house, and got scared. He was very upset with the way PJ looked on him, at the begining of the episode, maybe he talked about it with someone from tyger tyger or even RJ, and he became a target because of that..

 b ) But if RJ knew he was being tracked, then the anonymous call was probably made by him to lure Lisbon to him. But then, Bertram doesn't fit. Because if he knew he was being tracked, why on earth he leaved the phone so close to the house Brett was. He was more close then everyone else and the phone was stopped. It was a stupid thing to do.. I can't figure it out...

in episode 6x05 the office was bugged, and then kira tinsley was killed by someone with a three dot tattoo.


in episode 6x02 reede smith told bertram:

"how much has jane now? ... it's your job to know the answer"


I think the man who killed kira tinsley was bertram.

I cannot get over this scene , look how everybody is clearly surprised , worried , everyone exept for bertram and stiles , stiles knows RJ i believe , bertram... bertram is just there , owning the room , when the scene goes foward there's a glow in his eyes, he's not my favorite suspect to be RJ but i cant get over this

I think Bertram is Red John and that PJ was close to catching him a couple of seasons ago in the mall but RJ was one step ahead of him with the fake RJ. This was a plan to get PJ locked up for a while as he was close. 

Bertram could easily bug the CBI office and be a step ahead at all times, it's only patrick that doesn't give his plans away and that's the only way he can get close.

The tyger tyger 3 all meet in Bertrams office, which to me signals he's the more powerful of the 3 remaining suspects. 

There are many of your theories that make me think it could be any of the suspects, and the last episode with Stiles essentially baptising two women with blood using the same 3 fingers RJ uses to paint his smiley face is a bit baffling. He obviously has something to do with RJ.
