THE THEORIES

Come on people wake up and smell the coffee...in the season finale laureli says red john has already or will torture her.we see the wound on her arm and also notice HER LEFT CHEEK ...now watch the death scene of laureli...first thing i notice is you can litterally see the paint brush strokes on the smiley face...also RJ tortured laureli before killing her as we saw on the season finale...at the murder scene PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to her face ...no marks of any beating whatsoever and the wound is gone....just the fact that her face doesnt have any marks and in the season finale she does is enough to make me think  something's up with laureli martins.

"The simplest answer is usually the correct one"- Patrick Jane

Red John is brilliant, manipulative and controlling. Red John is not stupid and rarely makes mistakes. Red John has followers that help him stay hidden or commit crimes for him. Only they know who Red John really is and they usually end up dead before Jane or police can get it out of them.
I see people everyday ruling out Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner and Brett Partridge because they say they arent smart or charming enough to be Red John. In Season 1 episode 9 Patrick Jane confronts a man named Tommy Olds who appears to be mentally-challenged. After Jane exposes Tommy and his act the real Tommy is revealed and he is shown to be a very smart an cunning individual. My point is dont you think Red John would be smart enough to put on an act to fool everybody around him except for those who are his "followers"?
For example: Bertram played poker and was losing so he got Lisbon and Patrick to help him. Then he started winning. Ask yourself was he really losing because he sucks at poker or was it all an act to throw everybody off? If he had gone into the game and beat everybody dont you think that would cast some suspicion him?
The same goes for Brett Partridge. At 2 different scenes he said it was Red John when it wasnt and  it wasnt Red John when it was. Dont you think if he got it right every single time it would be a little weird? If he were to stand up to Patrick and challenge him wouldnt Patrick more than likely be able to see through him and expose him? That could be why he always backs down to Patrick. To keep himself hidden.
Now for my Theory: Gale Bertram is Red John.
Yes I know he's bald and according to the height is to tall but I can answer that. Bertam was wearing either a wig or a hair piece. You can also hide your real height by crouching down an inch or two. Especially if its around a blind woman. I also believe That Bertram is way smarter than what he appears to be. The man quoted poetry which just happened to be a William Blake poem and shows that Bertram likes to read. People who read usually are pretty damn smart. Bertram is the Director of the CBI so he holds power and can keep an eye on Jane but also remain in the backgound. Kinda like where's waldo right?
Now how would he know the names on janes list? Easy! He used Kirkland to break into Janes office to steal Janes Red John Material or Jane's office is bugged and he's been secretly listening to Jane all this time. What about Janes "Happy Mermory" you say? Its obvious that while Jane was locked up in the insane asylum and while under hypnosis or drugs Jane accidentally revealed the memory. The doctor more than likely wrote it down in her notes and Bertram has the file.
Also when they laid a trap in the four rooms for the Red John accomplish and Bertram found out he was on the list of suspects he was very very angry about it. He then later knowing That Jane was getting to close tried to make sure Jane went to prison.
So with all of that I believe Gale Bertram is Red John.

HI, I have feeling, that Bertram is Red John, if I have to choice one person from 7 suspects, I am choosing him. He is not too old, not too young, he is (or he was) boss of CBI, he knows a lot, he knows poetry of Wiliam Blake

He is Red John.
In the season 3 finale when Jane tells Bertram about Hightower, in the very moment that Jane leaves... Bertram picks up the phone...  to arrange the fake Red John encounter with Jane. (also in order to cover his back).
He knew about the trap and decided to sell O'glaughling in order to force Cho and Rigsby to run away from the place where the encounter should have took place. So Bertram said the phrase about the "man reached the end of his rope".
Bertram had Jane alone without support. Then left, leaving Jane and the fake RJ alone.
You can notice that Bertram the prevous day was reading the same newspaper that the fake RJ was reading at the meeting. It means that Bertram gave it to the puppet and told him how to behave.
He quotes William Blake in a moment of euphoria. Jane told that RJ would have been euphoric about the capture of Hightower.
Hightower is an accomplice of RJ and the confirmation of this theory is that O'glaughling could have shot her instead of Lisbon. He died anyway so why not fullfilling RJ whish? Why? Because Hightower is an accomplice. And everything was set from the beginning in order to create the perfect trap for Jane.

RJ till now is more capable of Jane. He must be older, more experienced and totally able to play dumb. REMEMBER RJ doesn't want to be caught. Why acting in his full potential in front of PJ? To be caught? Sounds stupid. Bertram shows his weakness (like the one at poker) that he refuses to lose. He plays dumb and there is a conversation between him and Kirkland about the fact that they can't trust anybody. Why? Because Gale Bertram is Red John and Robert Kirkland is his left hand.

He is powefull, full of connections with rich and powerfull people, even in the law forces. He appears when Minelli leaves showing that there was a change in the game between RJ and PJ.

In the episode where Hightower is framed as the killer of Todd Johnson, Bertram, in a strange scene with Lisbon and Laroche, quotes a poem by William Blake. (LaRoche was the one who identified it as Blake.) Red John quoted a different poem, "Tyger Tyger" by William Blake, to Jane when he rescued him from being killed by deranged college kids who were killing people Red John- style.  On his deathbead in a hospital burn unit, Todd Johnson's last words were the title of that poem.

This is just a smart hint which can be faked of Bruno Heller as well. But after the list of 7 suspects released i started watching the important episodes regarding RJ again especially paying attention to Gale Bertram. The Season 3 Final is the most interesting episode for this suspect. Imagine Bertram and Olovelein are in the same team. And Bertram knows that something is wrong but he keeps the distance because Pattrick could never reach him. He would never act because of information that was given to him by anyone, anyway he knew something is wrong when Olovelein got a different location of Heitower. I have to admit that i would be kind of perfect roleplay if he really is RJ. I think Brett Partridge could also be RJ - would be a perfect way to prevent being susspecious to Jane. But do you really think Brett would have access to such powerful recources and people while he is doing  his job? And wouldn´t it be kind of boring if a noname like him becomes RJ? Bertram would be much more surprising. Jane maybe knows already that Bertram is RJ, still he can´t proof. This will be the most difficult question for Season 6, how to proof the head of CBI being RJ.

Think about it, and please let me know your thoughts!

First of all I want to say that i don't think that RJ is a psychic. Some of you could believe this because he knew the 7 suspects on the list and because he killed PJ happy memory.
I think that Lorelei isn't death or for sure isn't the death woman we think it's Lorelei. Maybe RJ killed her but nobody found her. So it's a possibility that RJ made the video after Kirkland broke into Jane's investigation room. I also think that PJ told his Happy Memory (Eileen Barlow) to a doctor during the 6 moths he disappeared before working for the CBI, and this doctor told it to RJ. For these two reasons I don't think he is a real psychic, but he is a good showmen, just like Jane.
Now let's eliminate some suspects

Bob Kirkland
He could be RJ but Rj usually don't do crimes like killing Jason Lennon himself,so it's pretty obvious he is one of Red Johns powerful friends.

Reed Smith
He don't matches with Roslind's physical description

Bret Stiles
He could be RJ because he is a mentalist, but he is too busy to be RJ and why would he tell the location of Krystina Frye if he is RJ. It's way too dangerous! (Krystina could remember something about him and tell it to PJ. But he knows Red John.

Brett Partridge
He hasn't the intelligence of a serial killer

For me the only three suspects who could be RJ are Gale Bertram, Tomas McAllister and Ray Haffner.

I'd like to point out that in the episode where Hightower goes missing, Bertram recites a poem by William Blake, the same poet who wrote "The tyger". This proves that he is familiar with poetry and somewhat admires William Blake. This does not prove that he in fact is RJ, but it sure is an interesting aspect to the question who RJ is.
