I hate this episode not because who Red John is but how they displayed him/her.  I can't lie but I did like the ending, how it showed how he/she is a real person, how Red John may be a serial killer but he still processes emotions and is scared of death himself.  The 911 call proved that. The part of trying to give up who ever gave him the names on the list "still believe it was Van Pelt". Watching Jane choke Red John and seeing the intensity in doing what he has thought of for 10 years.  Also the part where Jane starts to runaway after killing Red John and how it displays what he didn't get to experience in losing his family.  He'll never get those walks with his daughter and wife.  Grow old with his wife.  And bring his daughter to the park. I hated this episode but I'm trying my best to understand where Heller went with this.  It displayed real life, it isn't about the holes or the reason why Red John has done.  It's about a man who wanted vengence for his wife and daughter or revenge just for himself.  I enjoyed the part of how Jane processed through the years of Red John, the unvieling is really a small part of the show.  The Mentalist Red John isn't about who it is and his reasoning.  It's about a men who needed to find peace in his life and showing us the steps he makes to relieve himself of the stress of his loss. I hope to see Jane mature and become a happier person.  

I don't understand why people think the real episode will have a different ending. The ending wasn't the problem, it's everything else before. We get no answers to any of our questions, lots of boring bits with the FBI, RJ is a coward, running for his life.

But the ending, the strangling bit was wonderfully done. Simon Baker did a fantastic job, if you watch his face while he is strangling him, everything is in that face! He couldn't have done that scene any better! Waiting 10 years for his revenge and finally getting it. 

You guys know it deep down that this is the same episode that they will air tonight. The writers and Bruno Heller fucked it all up. They had the opportunity to make something outstanding and breathtaking with the whole episode and they didn't. They should be grateful to Simon Baker for sort of saving this stupid episode.

I have not watched the leaked episode, and to be honest i don't understand why any of you guys would? Haven't you been waiting years for this and now you can;t wait a couple of days? I have no idea what happened in that episode but i hope it wasn't real cause Heller worked so hard on this show and some ass*ole leaked it before 3 days? 

Anyways, since i'm posting something here i might as well point out something.Patrick is Red John but his family was killed by someone in revenge of him being RJ. It's a longshot but it's possible.

I've seen the leaked episode a couple of times now, and managed to reconcile that McAllister is RJ. 

However two things don't fit:

1) It says it was filmed in 2012

2) It is also called Episode 7564 (not 5608 as it should have been after the last one was called 5607)

Lastly, for all the people so proudly proclaiming it is the real episode - we were all desperate to see the past few episodes, each one of them was big on their own this season so far. Yet how come nobody on here managed to spring a leak for any of them? Especially the episode that was missed the US due to the football? I don't remember seeing any CBS website links to uncut/unedited versions of that on here. It just seems a little too convenient to have this episode show up five days before the real one. Who even leaked it in the first place? Does anyone know? Was it even leaked on this website first? And if so, why didn't we get any of the other episodes like this?

(All the magazines have been writing previews about all the other episodes too, so I won't accept the excuse that this was the most important episode, so it was put up on the website for previewing to the press)

now which version of 'my blue heaven' are we talking about. i guess the title has a clue to it. especially if its the Sinatra version ;)

If the Red John episode was real, i must really admit that is the worst crap ive ever seen , id rather never seen the episode and never know who RJ was then watched it. My life feels broken.

Heller is to us true fans what Hitler was to the jews. To hell with you Heller.
