Really enjoy this site. I am convinced at least 6 people are Red John having read some of these great explanations. Some of these folks could probably write an even better show than Bruno!
So the question becomes, did they reveal enough on screen for us to know who did it? Despite some great thoughts, there is only one that we know enough about to say yes.
He has mentalist abilities.
He has murdered on screen, and walked with the complicity of the CBI, in particular Lisbon
He has set up others to be murdered, like SJK, if you believe he didn't do it himself
His supposed negligence has gotten several people killed. Like the ball player this year with a cop being shot to boot. Cbi protected him again.
He sent a fake list go a known lunatic and got some other people killed.
Bad things are happening to the people on his "real" list
He is the only actual suspect the fbi has seriuously considered...mentioned several times
He has been in a mental hospital and mentions many things indicative of mental illness (I haven't slept in 3 days for example)
His life is required study for the members of a bloodbthirsty cult...just mentioned this year
More than one person has mentioned his double life or wondered out loud if people realize who he really is
He shows no remorse for the deaths around him. Ie lorelie had it coming for example
He had an actual breakdown on screen
His name is Pink Jayne, a symbolic opposition to his nemesis, red john, for crying out loud. At a minimum, you'd have to believe that the red john name is a play off of Patrick's, but why?
Explains the mind reading trick as well. Who else would know everything Patrick is thinking but Patrick
I think partridge MAY still be alive, but is either a victim of, or in collusion with, rj. If he is still alive, how cheesy that Cho cuts open the plastic, but doesn't actually look at the face to make sure its him. Pretty flimsy opening to have him still be alive. I am assuming they just didn't want to pay the actor one more time.
I think Lisbon saw rj, in the scene right before she finds partridge, where all you see is the top of the car. She made a strange face, but was immediately distracted by noises from the house. Coincidentally, Patrick was on the phone and driving at that time. Patrick made sure she remembered nothing from that night, but she will flash back and we will see the driver. Who pulled over, snuck in the back, and jumped Lisbon.
And it will be Patrick!! With a multiple personality disorder. The only one who could have outwitted and manipulated Patrick all these years.
Anyone else and I will be disappointed. Because no one else meets all the criteria as seen on screen.
