I believe red john is patrick jane! Red john has always known everything jane was thinking and everything he will do. Whether it be to jane having a split personality or not he certainly has the capability to be red john let us no forget jane was put into a mental hospital before coming to the CBI. If you wanted to get revenge on a serial killer then why would you go to the law enforcemant to do what would end up being a crime. Yes he went to the CBI for the red john files but that doesn't tell us why, it could be that he wanted to use them to help he's search, or it could be that he wanted to moniter the information they had and control the situation so that the finger would not be pointed at him. There is no denying that jane is the only person that can equally match up to red john so it would seem plausible that they are 2 of the same person. Jane also strongly dislikes guns but we do not know if he has the same opinion about knives (the weapon of choice for red john) jane also was part of the travelling circus, meeting thousands of people learning hundreds of skills (maybe to do with knives) and maybe even developing a hatred of some kind against women, who knows. There is also the most well known parts in an episode where red john reads janes private memory exactly how he remembered it! Jane also used to be a hustler taking on various personas such as physcics, mediums and others, who's to say that red john is another persona/fantasy that went to far and that he can't come out from. That's why I believe jane is red john, I mean who would suspect the person who is most hell bent on catching and killing red john.

It 's Patrick.... He suffers from multiple personality disorder.  I'm sure some of you will point out the scene where RJ has him tied to a chair.  Well, Jane is crazy.  We just saw what was going on in his head, not reality!!!

Maybe Brett Stiles is PJ's father, the trigger for PJ to commit murders as RJ is the blinking red light on a camera.He hypnotized Patrick that's why he tells him i know RJ better than anyone else. Perhaps PJ attacks women because his mother walked out on him. I think TygerTyger is out to catch Jane.Hence he putting theirs names  on a fake list to get the CBI team to track them or even kill them.

I think Patrick Jane is Red John, the trigger is the red blinking light on a live camera. That is why he hates being on tv. Cos all the encounters he had with red john or red john related was on his own, the team always arrives after and he just relays what happened. Maybe Kristina couldn't speak cos the monster was right in front of him. I mean he already got away with murder once. In the flashbacks of boywonder we see that he didn't want to fleece that dying girl but he cant help himself.

I believe PJ is Red John. I believe it will be revealed that it all started with him having succumb to his own hypnosis and he became an alternate personality. I believe it is triggered on and by a single act or sound. Possibly he could be under someone else's control in the same way, but I doubt it at this time.

Interesting show, but as the twists and riddles unwind, I came to my own conclusion that Red John is the ulter ego of Patrick Jane, or vice versa, as in Primal Evil. It started when he was a child until he killed his own family. Both sharing many traits, even with the last episode having Jane in sight when the murder took place has not altered my thought, as the power of suggestion causes others to act on his behalf as many have done in this show. All have died who have seen this other side of Jane, except the little girl at the grave yard. Other than that, my only other perception is one that has not been shown, such as a brother not yet revealed. The trick of this show seems to be not in what you see, but it in what you hear and can piece together.
