After all is said and done, I believe Jane is actually Red John and he is some sort of schizophrenic. Tiger, Tiger is the trigger word he used to hypnotize everyone with.
...It's all going to come back to his time in the mental hospital. He has all the Red John traits.
...Van Pelt also has something to do with all of this.
Well whoever it is....no one may even care. The Show just had a series low rating of 7.75 million viewers this past week. I have always thought it was Patrick Jane. Red John= Pat Jane. Given his dark side....he also has killed someone...the fake Red John in the mall. He is masterful at keeping his emotions hidden. It seems to me he has the background with illusions and trickery to throw people off as well as great powers of persuasion to get people to do his bidding. It would be the most shocking ending of all but frankly the series would most likely have to end unless he was going to continue to help the CBI in custody aka the Blacklist...So why: He was so distraught after killing his family that he blotted out his true personality and then aided CBI to subconsciously stay in the know on the investigation.

Everybody knows its Patrick Jayne but he's so good they can't get a shred of evidence.If they accuse him they will never catch him slipping up.The guy is a true mentilist.

it's Patrick Jayne no question.The whole saga is filmed with him
working with the CBI .We don't see any flash backs of pj apart from very young.I believe we are about to see some big gap years of PJ(Rj) life.
Bruno has six seasons to really build Patricks character and back story up ,but hasn't for a huge reason...PJ is Red John or some big Twist that Patrick created RED JOHN to trap an even bigger Criminal/group .Visualise!!
Either way start voting for Patrick Jayne because after this weekend will be too late!to much information/clues will be outed!

Red John is Patrick's Alter Ego. An evil and opposite part of Patrick. This is why RJ is always one step ahead of Patrick, he already knows where Patrick is headed.
I don't think Patrick is aware he exists though. Patrick is always sleeping on the couch because his alter ego was out and about in the night taking care of RJ business.
The RJ side has control of the suspects either directly or through manipulation but I don't think anyone has ever seen RJ in person. With an alter ego even the voice and accent will change.
The very symbol RJ uses is a self portrait only the way the hair flows is reversed, reflecting the opposite or mirror image of himself. Notice the slanting of the eyes just like Patrick's.
As far as when the woman said something about the two meeting the first time, that could easily have been deception.
