I don't believe that Red John is an organization or a cult. It should be one person. Lorlei refers him as one male person "him". Voice of RJ is same in all conversations he had with Jane. 

I think that Red John is in the list. He should be in it. Some theories suggest Mashburn or other guys as RJ. So why are NOT they in the list? Why isn't Mashburn in the list? 
If RJ is someone out of the list, it means that Jane is not smart enough.
So no need to wacth the series.

The list is legit and Jane is sure of it. Remember he said the list is down to 5 suspects and it is a managable number.

My theory is that Red John is an organization that connects all the suspects. The question is, Who is the head of the organization? Maybe Bret Stiles

But, if I had to choose between the suspects, of course if my theory is not correct, I choose Ray Haffner, only he fits the physical appearance.

Another question, Did Jane shake hands with red John just once, or a lot of times?

I dislike people being sooo convinced about Ray Haffner! 
He is just an oppressed kid in the shadow of  his own father and in my eyes dumb as a shoe. 
Father is Brett Stiles. RJ is not Haffner.

My theory is not long or complicated. I think Ray Haffner is Red John. We've eliminated Partridge and Kirkland. My reason for thinking it's Haffner is that Bertram, Smith, Stiles and McAllister do not sound like Red John. Plus, Red John didn't hurt Lisbon. Haffner has said a lot of times " I like you Teresa". Maybe that's why.
