Red john is Sheriff Thomas McAllister im pretty sure of it he's the only one that hasn't appeared in a rj episode in s1e2 red hair in silver tape there was a women dead and he said people sure look different when there dead don't they ? (referring to jane) but not directly watch his facial expression he appeared out of nowhere when van pelt was walking while the wire camera was on her that shows he can move without being noticed... i think i found the big clue bruno heller was talking about in s6e1 the desert rose) there where 7 pigeons when lisbon walked into the room 1 flew out so there's 6 remaining but look at the pigeons there's 3 together and the other 3 are separate McAllister' Bertram & Smith are all together in the next episode Black Winged RedBird coincidence? i dont think so

Take a close look at his hands and fingers. After that look at the picture of Red John holding a cup of tea and watch the "finger" scenes of RED JOHN. Could be him. 

I think McAllister is Red John and Reede Smith is his friend in the FBI.
