THE THEORIES

Who will confirm the death of Brett "Who did this to you" Partridge? Maybe his assistant VAL VENIS, who always wanted to work a serial-killer? That would be very funny. Because than we will know that BP is still alive and RED JOHN. :O))))

IF BP is really dead my money is on Sheriff Thomas McAllister. He is played by Xander Berkeley - why would such a great actor play such a mini-role? Because he is RED JOHN! Think about his first sentence when he met PJ : "People look different when they are dead, aren't they?"

He's dead, can we just stop harping about it.
It's getting as annoying as when Mashburn wasn't on the list of seven suspects, partridge was never red john and it was never his voice.

Not necessarily a theory or accusation, but does anyone think they heard a slight Southern accent in Red John's voice?  I thought I heard it when he was in the car in season 4 and then in season 6 when he called Jane on the phone.  In season 4 when he said, "oh you strung me along for a good long while."  On the "while" I heard it, and in season 6 when he said, "Sorry Patrick, Theresa can't come to the phone right now."  On the "phone right now," I heard the same slight accent.  The only one of the suspects with a similar accent is McAllister.  Thoughts?

Also, I see some people think Partridge is still alive...as much as I hate to say it, I think he's done for.  He was my #1 suspect, but I think he was working for RJ and was used as bait to capture Lisbon and then killed.

In my prior post, I inadvertently said the door couldn't close from the outside, obviously I meant from the inside...

So I've seen a lot of theory that Partridge is RJ and not really harmed, but if you watch the scene where he is found, two things appear to contradict this;

1- The door has a flip and slide bolt to close, not able to close from the outside,,,,
2- As he came out, you can see the twist ties around his wrists (used by police these days)

I don't think RJ would put himself in a vulnerable position, not really his style.

I picked McAllister because there was no choice for:  "I haven't a clue"!  :) The possibilities are seemingly endless...

Oh, another thing I noticed was a comment that the blade looked like a scalpel that ME's use... To me it reminded me more of a "carpet cutter", but it did look like it had an edge on both sides of the blade maybe something used to gut fish or game.... check this out and note the brass sleeve...http://www.pacificsod.com/per_imgs/knife.gif

But I have enjoyed reading all the theories.... should be interesting to see where we end up...

Hi im son of a former producer who was involved in filming of the mentalist. He now has left an is not under oath. From season 1-3 red john was Brett Partridge then it changed to Ray Haffner for 2 season due to much suspicion its now an finally the sherrif. Why would someone you hardly know be in there.

Sorry i was just sick of everyone struggling chea breathas

I have read an very interesting theory. I agree with that theory. If the RED JOHN-thing seen in Episode 1 Season 6 has to do with Janes carny years and if BP is really dead, then my money is on SHERIFF THOMAS MCALLISTER.

He really looks and behaves like a clown. :o))) Maybe an habbit from his carny-days. :o)))
