THE THEORIES

Funny little realization I just had:

A SMILEY painted in the victim's blood, at the most obvious place in a crime scene, a signature of an "artist with a strong sense of theatre"

I have read some people theorizing it was connected to clowns - carnival - Jane's past, but I think it's just what it is: a smiley in blood.

What does a smiley in blood mean? A comical approach to death. Rejoicing in gore. Having a "love for the macabre".

I think there has been a change of mind on the Red John identity between conception of the character and his apparent reveal. Seems pretty simple and straightforward when you think about it. But then again, I ghould be wrong.

Dudes, can anyone tell me if you can find  any article online, coming from any web news source talking about how the ruff cut of the episode RED JOHN, the most spected episode of the TV show the mentalist  was liked, from the own CBS pressexpress.com web, and how CBS cant believe this hapend???

Cos i sure couldn´t found it, dont you found a little bit strange that:

1-The episode liked from CBS itself (did that ever hapend before?)
2-24 hours pass and NO COMENT FROM CBS
3-The episode went world wide and still NOTHING TO COMENT ABOUT IT
4-No one other , blog or pages like this one about the mentalist, know or coment about it

Is like loosing 4 million bucks and going, Baah, its ok, i dont feal like looking for my money!

If nothing is said in the next 24 hours the episode was another red herring , probably with scenes that wont be on the actual episode and with a lot of missing scenes!

At list is what i believe.

Of course i could be terribly wrong, in wich case, it is the worst ending in TV show history, even worst than dexter and Lost, why? because the story, the writing and the actors were better!!!

Cheers Folks!!!

HOW THE HELL DID MCALLISTER KNOW THE NAMES BEFORE JANE?

"I'm a real psychic..."

Don't get caught with loose ends you can't tie up. I'm tried.

If the episode truly was leaked it is pretty disgusting that they could not keep it under wraps, I really feel cheated by the whole thing. I didn't know the episode was leaked so i came on here to see peoples theories as usual but now what i have been anticipating for so long for has been ruined.
The biggest episode in the shows history and they give away the killer in the promo and the episode gets leaked its pretty pathetic and unprofessional. It's hard to believe that they would leak a fake episode but the whole situation is pretty ridiculous and if that is the true ending it is even more of a joke.

Bruno Heller deciding on how the reveal scene will play out after nurturing it in his head for 5 and a half years:

"Jane turns around, and there stands Red John, arms wrapped, smirking"

Me deciding on how the reveal scene would play out after thinking about it for 5 minutes:

- Jane hears clapping behind him, and turns to see a figure standing in shadows. The figure starts talking in RJ's voice, walking slowly towards Jane, gradually phasing his high pitched voice out towards his normal one. As the last part of the shadows is on his face he says "The game's over..." face revealed in a mid sentence slight pause, now talking in his normal voice "....and I won."

It was a pretty good episode, but not a fair ending to the Red John-saga. Revealing in the promo that it is McAllister and than explaining how he got the names with "I'm a real psychic" doesn't cut it. It doesn't even scratch it a bit. I mean, come on! As a writer you should never get stuck with loose ends that you can't tie up, like the names, just because it's cool. I'm an author myself and just that part is bad writing.

How did he get the names?

What does "He is mar" mean?

What did he do to Christina Frye?

Why isn't Rosalinds description correct and why were there NO flashbacks of McAllister committing any murders?

GAHHHH.

We didn't get to see any flashbacks or anything like it, so I really hope for it on sunday. Heller owes it to us. This episode was rushed, although the concept itself was really cool, such as the trick with the bird and the twist with Bertram. It seems alot like the ending of Mass Effect 3. It was horrible at first, then the writes corrected it. I think many writers rush into writing endings.

It's kinda anti-climatic even if Berkeley is an awesome actor. The leak is also just terrible from CBS. Shame on them.
