If you could pick RJ from the 5 suspects, who would you make RJ? Personally I would go with McAllister as he seems the most interesting character out of all and quite is calm and collected like I would imagine RJ to be.

Rigsby was telling Cho in the park about how good it is to be married and that he would find some girl for him etc. And then this girl(private investigator) starts hitting on Cho.
Probably Rigsby also works for Red John (intentionally or unintentionally).

I think the phobia route is the dumbest method to determine who's Red John. A lot of people have phobias, and if Red John isn't just gonna reveal his in a super obvious way immediately the few episodes after the fact was revealed. "Hey guys, look at me! I'm afraid of blahblahblah!"
Also it's funny that every episode, the general opinion here changes. Probably next episode, Bertram or Stiles are gonna look uneasy for a few seconds in front of Jane and everyone will think it's them. So I'd say this whole list has to be a red herring and RJ is not on the list. The list can be trust can mean:
1. RJ believes that PJ trusts the list
2. PJ trusts the list
3. The team trusts the list
Now what really bugs me is why did Brett Partridge die? For now, I will believe that he's truly dead and he was part of Tyger Tyger... but who killed him for what reason?
Also, we need to look back at RJ's origins. He started out just killing seemingly random innocent women... yet slowly he transformed into a government conspiracy out to fool PJ in the series.
Where did this idea that RJ is left handed come from? I'm right handed and I usually hold cups with my left hand. Also, he clearly draws his smiley face with his right hand.
Another early clue is that RJ is a showman with a strong sense of theater. Any of the current 7 suspects have a background in that? He used to be very deliberate with how he kills people: stabbing, painting the smiley on a specific wall, painting the victim's nails, etc. This latest episode, the woman isn't even dead before the cops showed up and there wasn't even a smiley. I really hope that RJ didn't get this unsophisticated. I hope that maybe Heffner killed the woman and it wasn't even related to RJ. RJ kills for the show, he does not hurt the innocent and would never do such a sloppy job.
I will try to explain my thinking process to you here:
I'm starting with the little fish Reede Smith:
as we all know he is part of the tyger tyger organisation and he killed Bob Kirkland. I will exlude him as a potential red john since he doesnt seem very smart, and it would be a big disappointment to be honest if its him.(plus i think Red john doesnt like the Tyger Tyger organisation~I will make points clear at Ray haffners part)
Sheriff McAllister:
It is very possible that he is Red John, since he saved Jane's life on the roof of the church(it literally felt like mcAllister was protecting Jane all night long)
Do you remember the meeting mcAllister, reede smith and bertram had? I think all of them are part of the Tyger Tyger org. (pj walked in and said he is close catching red john) reede immediatly saying to bertram that's his duty to find out more informations.
I know I did say Red john doesnt like the tyger tyger club, however there's no reason for him to not be in this organisation to gather informations and to kill people that come too close to catching red john)
Gale Bertram:
(he has always been a suspect from season 1 on until now. i will try to explain why i think it is or is not him)
if you can remember JJ. Laroche was looking for someone in the CBI who gives out informations(in the end i think it was the redhead press chick, which doesnt exclude someone else playing for a other team)
i think bertram is part (or some sort of head) of the tyger tyger organisation as stated earlier
But same thing i wrote about the sheriff could be true about bertram.(TygerTyger and/or Red John)
In my oppinion there are 2 options which leads me directly to Ray Haffner:
When the boss of lisbon (the very young, smart guy) was killed by the FBI in the limousine in the final of season 4(because they thought its red john in there), he got replaced by Ray Haffner which gives me those 2 options.
As we all know Ray Haffner is part of/and working for Visualize and in the recent episode there was a personal investigator(that girl that looked like a less bitchy version of summer) hired from someone who did end up getting killed(by red john) and pj found out about the tattoo.
I think that girl got hired by TygerTyger and Red John ended up killing her because he kind of protects patrick (and lisbon). So its either:
(Bertram is Red John) and gave his friend Ray Haffner the CBI job(who does go and kill for him-see next episode when we are about to find out that ray has the tattoo(in my oppinion :) )
or (Bertram is only a Tyger Tyger member)=> Ray Haffner did get the job at the CBI, he then left because he's either taking Red John's orders or he is Red John and found out that Bertram is a TygerTyger basterd who he hates( would explain the kill onto the female private investigator and partridge(might have been a tyger tyger member aswell, but i have another theorie about Partridge aswell in his section)
Bret Stiles:
I really don't think it is him because first of all I think he's way too old and literally EVERYBODY knows him. How can you be undetected for so long by being that famous...doesn't make much sense for me.
Bob Kirkland:
He is dead and he was also looking to kill Red John.
and last but not least Brett Partridge:
It might be that simple and obvious as it seems, he is dead.
However it's not like how we can exclude Bob Kirkland(we did see kirkland getting killed and we only did see a bloody Partridge)
It might be he's best and last trick; everyone thinks he is dead.
because we didn't see him getting killed, nor did we see the dead body(please check again episode 1 and 2 if you think otherwise)
And that's why he did knockout and paint a smilie face onto lisbon(to get patricks attention onto lisbon and not partridge[himself])
In my oppionion this would be a worthy ending(or Bertram being Red John)
I hope i could give some insights of what I'm thinking and tell me what you think
: )
Brett Partridge: Green
Someone else: Red
Out of everyone who's ever been on the show, he's the favourite. But does he have a majority?
Just a few thoughts ...
The most recent murder: With regard to RJ, this last murder seems very rushed and sloppy (not quite the methodical, fear-inducing type (to Patrick) we are used to seeing and the victim is left alive ... perhaps on purpose?). In addition, we did not see the trade mark smile face. Was this RJ? I'm not certain it was.
The 3-dot Tattoo: Not having too much knowledge of tattoo's, I did a bit of looking into them. Although this particular tattoo can have a few meanings, one of them is religious in nature (trinity) ...
Stiles: When Lorelei says that Jane is "just like" RJ and she is surprised that they did not become life-long friends the moment they shook hands (in the context of Jane is manipulative), the first one that my gut instinct went to is Stiles. Of course, just like most on this blog, I came up with a list of why he couldn't be RJ ... he is too old, etc. However, I still think he is absolutely the most "like" Jane and I cannot dismiss him. This is not to say that he is necessarily the one to actually carry out the murders, but he certainly has the ability to manipulate people and has financial means as well.
McAllister: In the episode where RJ saves Jane from the teens about to kill him, did you notice the boots? They definitely remind me of something McAllister would wear and he even mentions in a recent episode about not being able to go up the ladder in steel tipped boots.
Haffner: He has everything on the list to be RJ in terms of physical characteristics, etc., and he obviously cannot be ruled out, but something tells me Bruno Heller might be playing the audience ... This is not to say he couldn't have a major connection; however ... like RJ's son perhaps?
Reede Smith: I would not be happy if RJ turns out to be Smith and do not necessarily think he is ... but one thing I have noticed though is how many times Reede is smiling a lot in the recent episodes ... very strange, I do not remember this in the past episodes so much (I'll have to re-watch them... it kept reminding me of the round smile face that RJ creates. He also seemed in charge in the meeting with Bertram and McAllister (he tells Bertram "it's your job to know," with regard to keeping tabs on what Jane knows. In addition, he easily kills Kirkland with quite a bit of vengeance (6 shots to the back).
