Okay, I'm reaching but a few things - anyone who challenged RJ on tv ends up dead. Not PJ though. This seems to indicate RJ wants PJ to one day know who he is, and I suspect they will be close. What has really happened to PJ's dad? Could he have had a sibling that hasn't been revealed. RJ has affection for PJ. Wants to prove to PJ how clever he or she is. VP will be involved somehow. Could I be any more vague? What do you think?
Ok it's late and I'm a little drunk but I feel the need to vent. The way I see this list of 7 is that this is who RJ has given us. PJ has shown Lisbon some photos of these people in the order listed by Lorelei. He has clearly watched the recording prior to this. Which leaves me with questions!!! Re Bruno saying we can trust the list, well maybe we can if we are red john but not so much if we are on Patricks wavelength. PJ always has a reason for doing x, y or z and telling other people even Lisbon is not really a factor so long as the point is proved. PJ does say the list is down to 5 in last episode but his constant misdirection in every episode has u wondering why he says this. It seems a little too point blank. Especially when it comes to the case that means the most to him. Due to the nature of the beast I am finding it hard to believe pretty much any of the supposed clues we have to follow on our quest to find the killer of PJ's family. Realistically the purpertraitor of this sort of crime... Child killing... Will have to be one sick guy/ girl. None of these listed seem the type but I guess that's the trick if your a serial killer. Not being caught or obvious. I do really hope we get a spectacular ending to all this and will be sad not to read some of the awesome theories on this site after a few weeks we will know and we can all say we knew all along that so and so was red john. Apologies if u feel like I just ranted on but I guess my overall view is that the not knowing is the most exciting part. Sweet dreams

Does anyone know exactly what we've supposedly been told will happen in episode 8 this year? Because I wonder...
Do you think there's any chance that Red John's identity is going to be revealed to the audience, but not to Patrick Jane...?
In other words, could it be that our hunt for Red John will be ending, but their hunt for him will still continue?
Alternately, maybe they learn who he is, but can't do anything with that knowledge yet. For example, what if they learn Red John is the man in charge of the Tyger, Tyger conspiracy within law enforcement?
That scenario could probably play out two ways:
1. If Red John knows that they know who he is, then he'd almost certainly try to eliminate them. One or more of them would likely have to go on the run, and they'd have to work outside the system trying to find a way to bring him down (possibly with one or more remaining "on the inside" if RJ doesn't know that those people know, etc.) For example, Jane and Lisbon might have to hide/run/work in the shadows, while Cho becomes the new supervising agent at CBI or something (and tries to help them when he can).
2. If Red John doesn't know that they know who he is, then things proceed more similarly to the way they have been, but with the focus now on exposing Tyger Tyger in order to be able to bring down Red John.
Of course, this is just one possible idea. The general thought is just wondering whether revelation of Red John's identity will actually end the Red John story arc by bringing some kind of end to Jane's quest for vengeance, or whether it will somehow transform the nature of the quest rather than ending it...
