Primeiramente, há que se fazer a menção de que o inglês não é a minha primeira língua.

Pois bem, ao longo dos episódios, descobrimos algumas coisas sobre o Red John, como seu tamanho, e o seu medo de altura por exemplo. 
Me parece que é óbvio que o Red John possui tantas habilidades quanto o próprio Patrick, o que é bem notável ao longo da série.
É impossível que ambos sejam as mesmas pessoas, por motivos óbvios. A questão é que o Patrick selecionou 7 dos principais com quem mais teve contato em sua lista, excluindo outros mais insignificantes com quem o Patrick possa ter dado a mão.
Lembre-mo-nos que em um episódio contou um pouco da história de vida de Patrick, onde ele ganhava dinheiro fazendo seus truques baratos, prometendo curar as pessoas de doenças incuráveis, e o seu pai inclusive insistia para que ele continuasse trabalhando com isso e lhe ajudando inclusive. Ambos começaram a vida circense trabalhando de forma desonesta, e seu pai foi quem lhe deu os primeiros passos. Após perceber que sua realidade não era tão prazerosa, Patrick acabou discutindo com seu próprio Pai para deixar essa vida desonesta. A questão é: Onde está o Pai de Patrick que demonstrou ter algumas habilidades, e a série nunca comentou à seu respeito?
Uma coisa é certa, Red John possui motivos para querer arruinar a vida de Patrick. Para mim, o fato de Patrick ter largado o seu Pai sozinho é um excelente motivo para ele querer arruinar a sua vida. Na minha opinião o Pai de Patrick Jane é um suspeito em massa.

ok so i was right about kirkland woo hooo now onto my theory i have been watching the red listed episode about 10 times just the kirkland and jane part and the ending with smith. i believe that bertram, reed, and mcallister have nothing to do with red john what gave me this idea is if red john knows the list which he does why would mcallister, reed and bertram look so confused at each other when reed says what does jane really know that gives me the idea that they are not involved with red john but have there own secret cbi, fbi, sheriff , doj underground organization also bertram seems eager to catch red john i believe the reason for that is to eliminate red john which is the ultimate threat to the organization. now for my red john theory just a theory new light has been shed upon me on the episode 4 red listed jane is very very smart telling lisbon the list seems to me very upfront for jane in the past even with lives at risk is he very honest and open with anything the list to me is either people who are in the eyes of jane are red john or his disciples leave mcallister,smith,and bertram out just for a second now we have stiles and haffner to me none of these could be red john why stiles yes sociopath con artist he uses peoples loneliness and depression against them in my eyes hes red john but with out the killing people also he does know who red john is why red john use to be part of visualize why did he get kicked out maybe he had a different approach to using visualize to kill people or to hurt people stiles does not condone killing people remember the episode were the lawyer killed the girl in visualize he slapped him and said please tell me you had nothing to do with killing that poor girl" yes in that episode the friend said they would kill her visualize is very powerful  i am sure you can not just quit a cult but as you can see people can quit also why would stiles say to jane i know more than you or red john would ever know why remember the vent videos were you air out all your sins and most worst things you have done well red john is in one of those videos i believe thats were the young man character comes into play in later episodes why do you think visualize is so involved ray haffner in my eyes is sent by stiles to keep on eye out for visualize because when jane catches or kills him visualize is going to be on the chopping block so i do not know who red john is bruno heller remember the mentalist is his baby in interviews he is not going to tell you the truth just look at his show its very deceiving just like heller but in a good way also yes me have seen red john since episode 1 but were in the back ground infront of your face we do not know, for me everyone is on my list even cho, rigsby, lisbon, van pelt, janes father brother in law but the people i know for sure are the ones on the actual list they are not red john but what makes it interesting is finding michael kirkland bob kirkland said i never seen my brother again maybe in future episodes he will be found either he is in visualize or part of red john i will leave with these last words remember red john was in visualize so he uses the same tricks as stiles if you notice red john uses the weak minded ex drug addicts cons people that have nothing to lose i doubt a fbi agent a director of cbi and a sheriff would be desciples they are not weak minded but strong minded enough to make there own organization why reed smith would kill kirkland so he would not tell jane about the organization. one last thing in prior theories i did say kirkland wants revenge for either a family member or i thought he was the boy friend to lorelies sister. as for partridge do not count him out yet remember heller is very deceiving and he could keep the actors names out of the episodes.

This theory is made in order to reveal the importance of Teresa in the plot.

Background:
- Teresa Lisbon has been kidnapped but not killed (spared) by Red John who left his bloody smiley on her face.
- The nurse when Lisbon is in the hospital comes up with saying: Are you Carmen Lee ? Something like that.
- One of the episodes is entitled : The green thumb = > The Green Thumb

Implications and conclusions :

I think Teresa Lisbon return to the center of the plot with respect to the following:
First name Teresa means Harvest
The name given by the journalist Carmen means Garden
One of the episodes that follows is called The green thumb

The name Carmen came from a patron saint of the order of caramel whose main reform was introduced by Teresa D' alvila .
This Teresa alvila lost his mother at age 12 as Teresa Lisbon " In 1527 , at the age of twelve, Theresa lost her mother. "
When Teresa died  her body was separated , and her left hand was sent to Lisbon.

The Carmelite Order has seen in it 5 Theresa beatified , the first we have seen with previous reconciliations.
Other links  can be done including the title of the episode 1 where it is believed that Teresa is dead "The Desert Rose" which ic a toxic rose with 5 leafs . In fact there is another character of the same religious order: Therese of Lisieux who died the day the episode comes out on September 29 and whose religious attributes are a cross surrounded by roses.

For the third Therese , She is Marguerite Therese of the Sacred Heart , the link with Lisbon is due to the fact that the body of this one  was disfigured by the disease but became totally healthy and lifelike after death. It reminds us of the " renaissance/rebirth" of Lisbon who was believed dead after being disfigured by Red John . Moreover her real name is Anna that brings us to the name of Annabeth the  niece of Lisbon .

For the fourth, she is Thèrese Andes here again we find the attribute of roses, with her learning of the rosary.

The last is  Teresa Benedicta of the Cross,, his main research led her to believe that union with God through suffering considered as " fire atonement " as Jesus Christ in his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane
==> Several elements to clarify here:
The term union refers to the work of a certain John of the Cross who speaks about Mystic Marriage in his book "Dark night" where the soul rises to God , which enlightens the title of episodes black winged redbird and Wedding in red . Besides two previous Teresa experienced this mystical marriage.
Moreover " fire atonement " refers to the rest of the poem Tiger " Tiger Tiger fire and flame ! "

Those are the information that brings us the first name Carmen pronounced purposely by the nurse. What about the name Lee ?
It is cleared by the latest information about Garden of Gethsemane . If we reverse the letter's order of Lee we obtain Eel. the Eel River is a river situated in Sacramento (where the show takes place).

It was in the Garden of Gethsemane that Jesus and his disciples were arrested . This reference is almost exclusively in the Gospel of John. I recall here the name Carmen means Garden as I said at the beginning .


I conclude : Teresa is the garden where Red John is stopped ( like Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane ) . Teresa is the one holding  the final key to the mystery.
The tiger is the ideal and the perfect organization that Red John dreams about, imposing and well shaped ( as shown in the poem ) .

Hence my personal conviction is that she will have to  betray Red John because she is an accomplice. why else Brett would have whisper to her : Tiger Tiger considering the fact that in the last episode we know that this is a sign of recognition between accomplices  of Red John.
Pass through the fire of the atonement which is a test of suffering (
see above)  means going beyond this obstacle whatsoever it costs to
Teresa (for example if she is an accomplice of john, the betrayal)

MICHAEL  KIRKLAND. 

He grew up on a farm. Alcoholic father. His mother committed suicide. He is his twin brother, so he has been free to take de identity of his brother in order to avoid being caught.

Patrick shaked his hands in the first time. He was michael.

 I think that  "Tiger Tiger"  are Red John's hypnotic command words and there are many killers who killed under hypnosis. 

I still just can't get over how silly it was of Patrick to have told Lisbon his actual list (assuming the fact that we are almost certain that it was his real list). He put her in such danger. And he had to of known that it would get around. How could/can he be so certain that his team (Van Pelt, Rigsby, Cho) are all that innocent themselves?! Patrick is smart, but this action of his seemed naïve.
