I'm sure there would be fans from Mexico reading this forum. So I have a question to them.
What possible meanings does the word "Mariscal" have in Mexico? Is it probable to call a man in uniform with that word?
Thanks!

Heller will reveal RJ to Jane this season (let's hope), and he may kill him or not.
But I allways had a feeling that the last scene we will see in this show (regardless the outcome), will be Rosalind Harker playing that same old Bach's prelude on the piano, and someone next to her holding a cup of tea! How spooky would that be?
What do you think? Is it possible that this will be the last scene no matter what?
What do you think the goodbye scene of the show will be?
Guys! Bob Kirkland will die in the next episode or maybe the one after. My proof?

"WITH THE FINAL CLUE IN HAND, JANE ATTEMPTS TO GATHER THE REMAINING RED
JOHN SUSPECTS IN ONE PLACE IN HOPES OF FINALLY REVEALING HIS IDENTITY,
ON “THE MENTALIST,” AT A SPECIAL TIME, SUNDAY, NOV. 3"
"CHEAT TWEET: Eeny Meeny Miny Mo! Jane gathers all the #RedJohn suspects in one place. #WhatWillJaneDo #TheMentalist 11/3"
the cast list is:
GUEST STARS:
Michael Gaston (Gale Bertram)
Malcolm McDowell (Bret Stiles)
Drew Powell (Reede Smith)
Reed Diamond (Ray Haffner)
Xander Berkeley (Sheriff Thomas McAllister)
Robert Picardo (Jason Cooper)
Bobby Hosea (Joe Lamotte)
Russell Thomas (FBI Agent)
Emily Davenport (Visualize Disciple)
Brennan Feonix (Motorist)
Steve Bethers (Good Old Boy)
Peyton McCormick (Disciple #1)
Ana Isabel Mercardo (Disciple #2)
so Jane gathers all remaining suspects in one place but bob kirkland is not on the guest list so chances are he is dead.
Episode 6x05, Fire and Brimstone, has been announced on CBS express:
http://www.cbspressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/releases/view?id=37009
"Jane attempts to gather the remaining Red John suspects in one place". Brett Partridge and Bob Kirkland are not on the list of guest stars, so I guess it's true what many of you assumed already: Bob Kirkland will be ruled out as an RJ suspect in the next episode (6x04).
So Red John is middle aged
So we can rule Stiles out and McAllister as i cant see any body calling McAllister middle aged
(https://twitter.com/mentalistwriter/status/114530384280158208) on the 16th of september 2011 the writers said that Red John has been visable in prior episodes and season 4 hadnt started by then so that eliminated Smith Kirkland (who i belive will die in nxt episode anyway) and Halfner (:( )
leaving us with 2 suspects Bertram and Partridge of cause Partridge is dead but there is that possibility he could be alive you never know what Brunno has up his sleve
so that would make Red John Bertram now I was pretty dissapointed when i figured this out I really thought it could have been Halfner so what i think has happened is Halfner and/or mayby Smith and Kirkland have appeared in the background of preveous episodes as the writers said you have to look for him like waldo
What do you guys think :)
A previous post asked whether Heller actually said that RJ was on the list. MANY others have MISQUOTED Heller on this and it has driven me insane. As I mentioned in a previous post, and am now posting specifically to reiterate: HE NEVER SAID RJ IS ON THE LIST!!
The original quote, from EW:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: After all that craftiness
on Patrick Jane’s part, Red John is still a step ahead of him. So can
we really trust that the list is accurate if Red John is so willing to
confirm it?
Bruno Heller: Yes, we can trust that list. As much as much as
Red John has been one step ahead, Lorelei Martins’ intervention changed
the game. So as much as Red John is trying to play from a position of
strength in reality Jane has gotten a lot closer. This last episode of
the season really sets us up for next season: The hunt is on, no messing
about.

So yeah. Take from that what you will but considering we now know there is a fake list, it seems even less solid to assume he means RJ is definitely on the list.
I actually think he probably IS on the list. But Heller's comments are some of the biggest, most important clues and really shouldn't be misquoted / misinterpreted.
a couple of days ago i read a theory that said that danny is Red John. A well elaborate theory, by the way. So i re-watch that episode with danny, and i notice that danny has a voice very similar to Red John's voice. listen for yourself.

listen when danny says: "first compliment you ever gave i can recall"
i don't know about you guys, but his voice seems very similar to Red John's voice, adding that theory that i read, it seems that Danny really is Red John.
