I've just watched the season finale episode and I don't think any of the suspects on the list Patrick's got is Red John. This occured to me when Lorelai said "you think you are pretty damn clever, but you are not". I think Red John might be someone Patrick met way before his family was murdered maybe when he was young... However, I really think is that Red John's got a lot of "accomplices" or "friends" and some of them are in Patrick's list. I think we'll be completely surprised when Bruno finally reveals Red John in season 6. I can't wait!!!!!

Great show tonight! The list is interesting! I'm not completely up on some of the suspects so I'll have my summer reading cut of for me! I'm glad we now can get off the PJ thoeries and GVP theories (tho I'm sure some will still try!)
The list is law-enforcement based. We know about Haffner and visualize, so that is how I 'm sure they are all connected. Some way that organzation is involved but that doesn't mean it's Stiles. We know Kirkland is up to something but he was taking "orders/cues" from Bretram in that one episode. Well, I guess Bertram would have juricstiction over all law enforcement personelle. Doesn't matter, point is we know it's an inside job, visualize teachings applied to get the law enforcement shield so RJ can operate with impunity. And just because we have a list doesn't mean that's the only RJ suspects. Jane said, these were the only people that had access to the crime scenes. So they can all still be puppets to RJ! It's also names of people he met after his wife died. We still don't know why RJ was killing these folks before he decided to pick on Jane. We also have time line issues still unresolved. 1) LM told PJ about the handshake, before he shook RK's hand. So why is he on the list? Smart guy like Jane would have discounted him right away. Until he RK killed the guy in the hospital And 2) LM was killed before RK stole the information board, so RK being able to set up the video before hand doesn't fly. Sure it's tv but that's how the timeline was presented. BH has been pretty honest with us so I'll trust him. So how is RJ that good?!? It's still anybodies guess and we still have a Long way to go!! Season six is already green lighted and ratings were good enuff that unless SB or RT get real life better offers we will get a 7th also. Work hard in the off season to brush up on the names&connections!! Have a great summer everybody, see you next fall !

I believe that Patrick Jane is smarter than Red John. The
fact that Jane left the toothpick in the door provides evidence that he knew
someone would break into his loft and discover the list. First, why would
someone with a memory like Jane’s need to keep a picture of his suspects? I
believe that he wanted Red John to feel a false sense of security, as his name
was not on the list. However, at the end of this year’s season finally, Red
John led Jane to a disc that revealed Jane’s 7 suspects and which drew outrage
from Red John, or did it. If Red John wasn’t outraged by the list, wouldn’t
Jane then suspect that he wasn’t one of the seven. Therefore, Red John was trying
to play Jane hoping that he would remain dedicated to his list of seven. Unfortunately,
I believe the list was fake and Red John, not knowing this, inadvertently revealed
that he was not one of the seven. I believe that there is an eighth suspect or
a small list of other suspects that Jane keeps in the safest place he knows,
his own mind. 

I don't have a theory yet, just a question.  If Kirkland is RJ, and RJ knew the seven suspects before Kirkland broke into Jane's office, why would he bother breaking in?

My analysis of the 30 suspects:
Bret Stiles - friend of Jane, therefore no
Don Henderson - too limited a "network"
Dean Harken - possibility but work with virus' probably means no
Asher Maclean - no
Gale - i doubt its someone within CBI
Doc Dugan - no
Judge Manchester - has network, fits other explanations, and "is ma-"
Paul Fricke - possibly with the sexual language used about Red John's fascination with Jane, but likely no
Glen Snow - we know RJ is Caucasian.
Donny Culpeper - that "arc" resolved

Out of set 1: Manchester

Markham Shankar - not Caucasian, but "ma-" and fascination with death stuff makes him intriguing
Mancini - a possibility
Kirkland - up to no good, but a red herring i think
Max Winter - possibility with network to back him up
McAlister - not a large enough network
mashburn - possibly
volker - no
partridge - possibly
Jason cooper - possibly but the "failed coup" doesn't seem very RJ-like
Ellis Mars - interesting option but doubtful


Group 2: Mancini, mashburn, patridge

Dr. Linus - possibly but doubtful
haffner - a red herring but related to Visualize?
Bunting - computer skills but not much else to connect
Royston daniel - possibly, computer skills, network might be there, roy is a bit obvious though
reede- unlikely
JJ Laroche - not on the list
Minelli - someone more calcuating
molinari - eh
Ardiles - not white
baihach - interesting possibility

Set 3:Haibach, Daniel

So here are 6 candidates: Haibach, Daniel, mancini, mashburn, partridge, manchester

Mashburn has potential but I'll say Manchester has the better odds with his connections. If its Mashburn the sexual stuff between RJ and Jane makes more sense as a way to get to Lisbon.

Here is what Bruno Heller had to say when asked about Emmanuelle Chriqui reprising her role as Lorelei Martins for the season finale:

"It's not a flashback, a typo or a mystical thing, you'll have to work out what other alternatives are left. It's a surprise, and it's a good one."

I don't see how this could work though?
