THE THEORIES

Hey, I have just seen a video on CBS and in it a picture of the RJ smile is shown and with it are the pictures of 7 suspects. Now you can't see the faces because they are totally black but from the shape of them you can tell that it are most likely these seven people;

Gale Betram
Ray Haffner
Paul Fricke
Doc Dugan
Vint Molinari
Walter Mashburn
Dean Harken

Now I don't know if these names are actually the names of the final 7 but if they are then it would be very surprising because most of these names with the exception of Betram and Mashburn aren't mentioned very often in any RJ theory.

Hello!

Just want to say that it is almost last 48 hours to finale!

In the promo, Jane doesnt tell Lisbon the 7 names, which is very clever because the last time in s04 finale jane talked to Lisbon to let her know he is ok and planning something, Lisbon screwed up when talking to Luther and in the end Susan found out everything was fake and killed the plan.

It is good that that stupid Lisbon hopefully won't learn the names, but this also means that we will miss some intelligent dialogues of how he came up with those names.

I hope that we will learn those 7 names by seeing them in notebook or their pictures on some board.

Lastly, I don't think the finale will be very satisfactory, because it is hard to reach the success of s03 and s04 finales. Personally, I think s03 was the best and this wont be able to compare to s03 at all.

Anyways, I wish you Mentalist fans a great weekend, and hope you all and I enjoy the final episode.

I think Red John is Markham Shankar.
Remember the S01E11 "Red John's Friends"
At the finish in this episode, Jared wrote something on the wall. "He is mar..."
If you look the suspect table at CBS website, you will look Markham Shankar. Only his name starts with Mar...
He must be Red John.

Here's my 2 cents worth. I can't imagine that the show's writers / producers would have any of the regular CBI crew (cho / van pelt / rigsby / lisbon / jane) be part of Red John's network. It would make rerun's in future syndication seem weird if one of those characters is helping Jane solve crimes and the viewer knows already that one of them is a criminal........I say RJ is either Partridge, Kirkland or Ardiles with no CBI regular being part of RJ's network.

I always thought Red John will be Walter Mashburn or Brent Stiles, but i think by the finale of The Mentalist, One of Jane's team will be revealed as Red John's accomplice all along... My money in on LISBON or VAN PELT.

I think Red John is Dr Roysten Daniel's: Forgot about him until the suspects list on the website.

Reason 1.

His name Roysten if you - sten it = ROY!

Reason 2.

His last name is Daniels  it certain countries they have a drink called Jack Daniels and Jack can be another name for John. This may not be anything.

Reason 3. He's a hypnotist and he reads people like Jane.

Reason 4 . Roysten Daniel's = Red

Writers have compared RJK to Waldo, a famous character for children who appears in the background. "You've got to look at it like Waldo" as Ashley Gable once tweeted in the offical Mentalist Writer twitter account.

That being said, characters like Brett Stiles or Walter Mashburn couldn't possibly be Red John. They're not background characters, they're simply "out there" and are target of suspicion to lots of people. It's almost too obvious. Same thing goes for other characters who have a strong presence in the show, such as Bertram or Minelli. Personally, I would rule out anyone who is highly suspected by a large number of people.

On an unrelated note, I also think it's unlikely that Red John is someone we've only seen once in the show, such as Dr. Royston Daniel, simply because it would be too disappointing.

Red John can't someone of too strong presence in the show, but neither a random guy we've seen in one single case.
