okay so i have read almost all of these theorys so i have a rough idea of what yous all think. 
i dont know who red john is, None of us do thats the point were not supposed to.

i do know however that patrick jane id not red john i mean come one  what was he expected to do become friends with himself , shake hands with himself its stupid

walter mashburn and patrick are friends ( i wouldnt let someone drive my very expensive car off a cliff unless they were concidered a friend) 

none of the CBI team have anything to do with it like lisbon cho wayne or grace but i think grace either knows wh it is or has a theory because she has been acting diffrient the last season or so 

cristina fry is not red john because she likes patrick and you dont kill someones family if you like them. red john does "love" patrick in some way but its in moreof a " i love messing with you" type of way.

minelli is also not redjohn because he is too emoitional , like when boscos team all got killed by red john he was very upset. i know he was obviously not going to be over the moon but quiting his job is serious he obviously was upset but red john would have been happy he was the one that done it or made rebecca do it.

basically what im saying is the writters are not going to make this easy.we will be dissapointed no matter who red john is were just going to have to wait. but im looking forward to seeing the rest of the theorys

This is not an accusation, but did someone remember the last episode of season 3?
There was 4 suspect on Laroche list and they make us think that one of them is the RJ accomplish, then the dispensable killer goes to the last floor with the intension of goin one floor down and kill Hightower. But there is a funny fact here, what is the dispensable killer was not going to go down just one floor down? What is all four suspect even including Laroche are connected with Red John and they all gave him the address so he could think send the dispensable killer to all floor looking for Hightower since he know all addresses or just sent the killer to Bertram floor so he could distract them for O'laughlin to kill Hightower and then sent Timothy carter to the mall where Jane met with Bertram since Bertram is also an accomplish of RJ he told him they will meet in that mall

I think Robert Kirkland is Lorelai father .. See his reaction in e5×08 when Lisbon look at a picture and ask Lorelai mother "is this your father ? "  she said " no , its my husband.He works in Munich " She could lying and Kirkland warn her to not tell anybody that he is her husband !!
So , he kill Lennon because he kill his daughter !

I'll preface this by saying I DON'T actually believe this will turn out to be the csae, but let me propose a scenario.
RJ killed Jane's family as outlines in the story, what happened then? What if at some point Jane discovered the identity of RJ and managed to exact his revenge. Now, without a family or a cause, he has regressed psychologically to a point before dealing with RJ. Everything since that point has been Jane's doing. He has been behind the larger "conspiracy" and the assistance of several acolytes allows for the presence of holes in logic presented by Jane's being the culprit.
Again, I don't think this will wind up being the case but it is technically feasible and would be an interesting twist while still allowing for Jane to play both the role of RJ as well as the damaged victim not entirely in control of his actions due to those of the "original" Red John.
Just a thought

We all know that Jane's goal is to find and kill RJ, that is a foregone conclusion. I pose this question though, what is RJ's purpose? If it was simply to kill random people or mess with Jane then there would be no reason for him to be associated with so many people when even one loose end could result in his identity being revealed and him being captured. I have a few theories on his purpose, because keep in mind he was killing people before Jane even mentioned his name on T.V. and his wife and daughter were murdered by him. 

1. He's like the Joker from Batman and just wants to see the world burn.

2. RJ is leading some sort of revolution. Its been hinted he was a member of visualize, and I believe he was Brett Stiles protege until the student surpassed the teacher and became dangerous to even Stiles himself. This leading to RJ needing a good number of followers to take down visualize and him having the techniques to do just that.

3. RJ ultimately wants power. He will do anything and everything to have control of as many different organizations as he can regardless of who he has to kill. Remember how he killed Bosco's team so Jane could be back on the case and the CBI just obliged and said OK. I didn't know that police organizations gave into criminal demands so easily.

4. In no way do I think Jane is involved in RJ's purpose or grand plan I just think that Jane got caught up in the middle of it with his comments and is one of the few people who intrigue RJ in terms of brilliance and so RJ toys with him. Don't kid yourself by saying Jane is smarter than RJ because time and time again he has been outsmarted and maneuvered. It's a game of cat and mouse RJ has enjoyed playing.

His purpose could be completely unrelated to any of what I just said and I could be completely wrong, however I feel as though it will be much easier to figure out who RJ is once his purpose or goals have been established. 

Why isn't Robert Kirkland on this list? Lennon knows Red John yet claims to not recognize Robert Kirkland as Red John. The writers are clearly trying to throw people off of Robert Kirkland when the "ah ha" moment to come later is that Robert Kirkland has altered his appearances and is happy to confirm that he is unrecognizable to his followers. 

It would be just so cool to find that Red John is Dexter Morgan, after escaping from Miami (because of the mess that has happened) and that he "hypothetically" killed his sister, thus making him kill other women (for some crazy reason).
