"BOB KIRKLAND" - with "Homeland Security" - Enters Season 5, Episode 7 @ 39 minutes and 30 Seconds
Reasons:
First & foremost, he obviously (to me) stood out as a creepy character, shady, etc. Check.
Next, he bumps into Patrick Jane after telling Lisbon to "back off" of Vulcar, which is ODD, that part of Season 5, Episode 7.
AT 39 minutes and 30 Seconds enters R.J. Watch it. At 40 minutes 58 seconds he bumps into Patrick Jane, saying in a quiet, soft voice, "Oops, sorry Mr. Jane" - not Agent Jane, where as he refers to Lis-BON (pronounces her name wrong" as an Agent - OK so how did Bob know this?
Jane says, "Do I know you?" Bob Kirkland says, "No, but I know you". OK, so "Bob" & Jane shake hands -
Like most of you, I also have watched MANY episodes - this guy stands out heavily:
black hair, just under 6 ft., not too muscular, higher, soft voice, obviously a man of power and obviously a threatening character on the show; though, he only needs 2 minutes to prove it; so yeah, this Bob Kirkland guy can just walk into the CBI and have a word with "Lis-BON" - clever mistake of pronunciation to throw the audience off - come'on, R.J. has to be someone Jane has shaken hands with otherwise that whole "thing" - with Loreli Martins, the shaking of the hand being SO relevant, you know - otherwise it is just stupid for bringing it up... and, so, furthermore, we should take it seriously - if we do - then we can say that NOT many people with black hair that have that build that also have a soft, high-pitch voice (at times) whom also have "power/what it takes to be R.J., etc. HAVE shaken Jane's hand, so maybe it is him?
****the black hair really stands out, and his height, again I am being redundant - but - the fact that L.Martins tells Jane he did in fact shake R.J's hand, in this Season (5) , and Jane indeed does shake Bob's hand , you know - the simplest answer is right there in front of you right there, OR NOT...?
So, It's just my guess. AND, it's funny he is not available to select on this Site, to "accuse" - WHY NOT ?
Because he very well could be... R.J.
We, as an audience, are meant to believe we have seen him and so has Jane... OK, so back to Bob Kirkland: why is sticking up for this powerful Vulcar guy, a total sadist with GREAT power, yes exactly, why is he, because they have a connection and possibly, Vulcar is a liability to R.J. IF Vulcar is brought to justice ALIVE - but he gets killed - in the LATEST episode - just when the show is wrapping up, maybe (?) , OK so the writers bring in a description that matches R.J., blah blah... I have said my piece, sorry if its poorly written, I went back to get some of the time frames from the EPISODE in which R.J. appears and it threw off my ranting, ha. AND, I don't feel like editing it.
Just a guess..........R.J. is KIRKLAND, why, watch that clip, don't bother with the whole episode, he (Bob) appears at the end for no FN reason, I don't even know why he came into Lis-BON's office, you know? They needed to plug in R.J. ----- so they use a home-land security dude; a guy that in concerned with a VERY powerful man, again, Vulgar, I'm sure in this series we will see that both men are sadistic, evil and haveTONS of power - and being involved in National Security - perfect for getting into the FBI, or CBI for that matter,
So for these reasons I select this guy based on the most simplest of terms with this show, and the fact that they seem like they will wrap it up within Season 5 or Season 6 - I'm betting Season 6 OR maybe 7.
But they DID expose him, like as-promised... why else would the writers have L.Martins bring up the fact that they shook hands... to give the audience this interest that we are all talking about...right, so - is this IS R.J...?
Here's what I'd like to know...
I'd like to know WHY (Bob Kirkland) can't be R.J.... his moment on the show was brief, but he DID one thing that was HUGE in that brief moment, he stuck up for a powerful, sadistic man (Vulcar) , threatened Lisbon and shook Jane's hand and told Jane he knew of him, but Jane obviously never met him.
All in what, 2 minutes? Nice theory? I dunno... it's mine... for now.
