i imagine,there is whole bigger picture of red john,which means all of the mentioned suspects are working for a source named red john.

so powerful that he can not be even accused.

I believe that Red John is not just one person, but a consortium of individuals that operate under the name Red John. This consortium might include Kristina Frye (who magically disappeared, apparently after being kidknapped by Red John, but has yet to turn up at all in the remainder of the series), Gale Bertram (who used the phrase "Tyger, Tyger" during a scene, apparently in reference to a phrase that only PJ ever heard), Todd Johnson (the serial cop killer who also said "Tyger, Tyger" to PJ), and Timothy Carter (who was killed by PJ during the season 3 finale because of a conversation he was having with Lisbon; he also dropped hints that he was Red John) to name a few. Maybe the reason so many plausible Red John suspects have died withouth his reign of terror ending is because he is not just one person after all.

the fifth season en-thrills to know who red john is ! Many theories about pj being may turned about to be wrong in the end! atleast i expect.i havent really seen PJ as RJ through out the 5 seasons! The new guy shown in 5th and 7th episodes of 5th season just looks like distraction to all our thoughts about red john! may be this guy has info about rj, lets think this guy is red john that leads us to the idea that the fbi lady agent should be familiar with the actions of this guy.she says "it's done". this gives us more thoughts. and y all of a sudden this guy asking a coffee with lisbon?? if this guy or volker is supposedly RED JOHN makes me feel that jane is close enough to find red john, sudden involvement of this new characters gives me an idea that john is really driven by jane's efforts so this people are being used by red john to know info from jane! hoping for another twist on his side. so i think any of this two new faces is ain't red john! he is someone linked to this people and part of the fbi !

I'm accusing a men from the last episode (S05 E07), Bob Kirkland from Homeland security. Maybe he's not Red John, but he must have some very strong relantioship with him. He came to agent Lisbon to tell her to get off from some powerful men called Volker who is also showed up in the same episode. Also, in his way out, he said hello to Jane but Jane didn't recognize him. Perhaps, Volker may have relantioship with Red John or he can be Red John. Director told there's gonna be progress with the Red John's case in the fifth season, and there it is. Now, we must wait 1 week to see how this case is going to develope. Can't wait!

Tommy Volker... I just watched the latest episode "If it bleeds, it leads" and it was left open ended with Volker as a powerful man, suspected to have been responsible for the massacre of a village, convincing the news anchor to tamper with the breaks in the car of the last victim (which you have to be pretty smart and conniving to convince someone to take out another persons breaks as a "dare"), and then finally killing his assistant for giving up information then trying to make it look like a suicide. And just when Lisbon told him he wasn't going to get away with it, he responded with "you have no idea what's going on" then told her to "enjoy her job while she still has it." Of course she then gets payed a visit from a guy from homeland security telling her to back off, and as we all know Red John is very powerful, rich, and very connected with high up officials... and then this homeland security guy knows Jane without Jane knowing him... This all just seems like who we know RJ to be.

I just hope that the disaster of the ending of "LOST", "HEROS" would not reappear in this still-my-most-favorite show.
