Let's go through so reality here:

1) There millions upon millions Mentalist fans throughout the world. It's been this way for 6 years. In 6 years this site has generated around 15,000 theories..many lately...and those have been by probably 1000 people by looking at the names I see around all the time

2) Taking the above into context, Heller nor anyone else is going to try and appease less than 1% of the fan base. In fact a majority of viewers don't know this site or care for spoilers. 

3) The fact that there has been no major publication of the spoiler makes me thing its real and that a majority of places don't pay attention  this stuff. Wouldn't a major show leak be big news if people even cared as much as we do?Also, if you write one great episode and no one has guessed RJ yet why make a fake and leak it...for a tiny few fans?

4) I'm an adult and don't care if the leak was real or fake or who RJ is as long as I like the show and what happens after. People need to be civil and stop being children because you maybe didn't get your way. Also, stop giving yourself too much credit. Heller isn't here crafting a show for less than 1% of people.

Would be outstanding (work of true genius) if they filmed a final episode for every suspect to turn out as RJ...

For some
weeks, I’ve enjoyed coming here to read theories and see if some people shared
my point of view on RJ identity or find arguments that could seriously invalid
it. But I have to say that since the RJ episode leaked, I don’t enjoyed coming
here so much.

 


While I
understand that some (many ?) may be disappointed by the reveal and/or the way
it was done, I for myself am disappointed in the way many people reacted so badly
that they show little respect and/or are being aggressively insulting toward
the show creator and cast work.

 
I’m not saying that everyone should like the
episode and the RJ storyline ending, far from it, but I truly believe that some
people here forgot that we represent a minority of The Mentalist viewers, who
has been particularly involved in the RJ storyline to the point of spending some
amount of time trying to solve the mystery by ourselves. As such, we were predictably
bound to find the end of the RJ plot   quite simplistic, minimalist, while it’ll be satisfying
for the average majority of viewers.

 
Yes, a lot of theories here were interesting and
made sense, were inventive and original, sophisticated even, explaining details
only we would consider as relevant to the RJ plot (when the regular audience
wouldn’t even notice them) , but if we try to be objective, we have to admit
that few of them would have been credible in regard of the show history and
background, of the way it had been written all those years.


I am not criticizing
anyone there, as I myself made the same mistake regarding VP role in the plot,
understanding only after I published a theory that it was unrealistic, that
even if it made sense, it couldn’t happen in the real show.

 
I’ll only add one more thing : we should consider
as a success and not a disappointment that many of us have guessed or suspected
RJ identity before watching the confirmation in the episode, even before the
608 promo. For those of us that had been attentive lately to the evolution of
the theories, votes, opinions and questioning, it had been obvious that the
turning point in understanding the truth had been “Fire and Brimstone” episode.
That’s the proof if needed that this website has played its role.
I truly hope that
once the shock fade out, people will start to see the RJ episode on a more
objective basis and appreciate (I’m not saying liking) the last scheming of RJ,
a scheming that had taken 8 episodes to prepare and unfold. While I have a lot
to say about it and its conclusion, about the way RJ reacted when he understood
he had lost, I won’t be doing it in this post and wait until after the episode
aired.


I’ll just
conclude by that thought : for once that a serial killer demise is not realized
in a stereotypical way, we should be grateful of the writers for their will to
give an original touch to a show which had manage to keep us on our toes for no
less than five and an half season, a testament that it is a very good one.

I do not see how people can still doubt the episode ... You sincerely believe that the writers break the ass with a "fake " episode of 45 min , for the sole purpose of trapping us? it does not make sense and they have everything to lose , especially when we know that the series has almost no longer be broadcast by CBS with decreasing chain of hearing ...In terms of the episode, we can only be disappointed because the myth Red John collapses with a sudden return to reality. We all did the same image as PJ had RJ ( besides it nya just listen how PJ defines and demonized in this episode ) . What bothers me is that despite all the evidence of this series, Bruno Heller has still said that from season 3, one could guess his identity ( to be strong to swing it when we do has been seen only once in three seasons ... ) . There were so many possible endings , so many theories that have developed millions of fan forums , and the only way the writers have found to hold hearings is to propose a sloppy end , unfinished . This is a very big risk to split a season in 2 parts especially with so few revelations in the most awaited episode of the series. Moral of the story : the mentalist Bruno Heller clearly we manipulated like real pigeons :)

So Bruno is trying to tell me that McAllister is this ladies man that can bag hot women such as Lorilei, etc.....?!?!?!  And charismatic?!?!?! Give me a break!

Also, the guy searches PJ for weapons outside of the church, but doesn't notice a stinkin' pigeon in his pocket?!?!?!

This is unbelievably the biggest letdown for a tv series buildup/reveal in television history.

I've been obsessed with this show since its first episode and I'm beyond upset if the leaked episode holds true!

This will be my last entry.  I only recently found this site but have been greatly impressed by the acuteness of the reasoning and by the quality of the writing of so many of you.  Thanks for the pleasure of your company (however disembodied).
