Posting again, for everybody's sake:Ultimate proof the "leaked" episode is a fake (or at least it has been tampered with): the start and end production codes do not match. At 00.01 is 4x5608, whether at 43:36 is #3x7954 .

I've just watched it via YouTube, and even McAllister fans and theorists must agree if it's not a hoax, then it was just a pants ending to Red John, if he really didn't want to die(he would know PJ had a plan) he would have had better back up than a rubbish Vicar with the knife skills of fish. 

just watched the leaked episode, don't think its real. main reason is that this guy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0634984/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t3 who is credited in the episode doesn't make an appearance at all. in fact I cant recall him appearing in the previous episode either, although he was credited for that too. comments???

Could very well be a hoax, if you look for it, there's very few scenes with the Sheriff and those are all easily exchangable. Especially the last one where he chokes RJ, you never see both of them at the same time and he's not talking only blinking to answer questions. Very very easy to fake. Furthermore, when did this leak, couple of days ago? They're not sending the episodes to CBS an hour before they're aired so the timing is completely off, the final episode has been edited and finished at least several days ago, speaks for it being a hoax as well.

Plus its a bad episode, simply too bad, the writers arent that dumb

my theory for about two years

Red John isn't man,real human. It's an idea(?), like Kayser Soze. Many people killed as Red John. I thougt there is a organisation with rich and powerfull people (cops, judges, etc ) and they just keep looking on business. they want to be more rich and powerfull. when they need to kill someone then we see RJ. 
it is a masterpiece for a criminal. they "made Red John", a serial killer and everybody are looking single man
