Red john is summer, and cho is her right hand man. Reede smith is her husband that she divorced because he gained too much weight eating cake while stalking lisbon with creepy old brett stiles and creepy stalker Ray Haffner. Mashburn is her dad (her father figure) and Laroche adopted smith after he came up with a plan to make a tele tubby group named "tyger, tyger", where only cats like partridge and linus wagner are able to join, but dogs like bosco and kirkland are left to cry while eating donuts with laroche and smith, while bertram tries to creep everyone out with oscar adillees but they are both becoming fat because of jane's tea and donuts and pizza that cho doesn't like, so he asked john (summer) to kill him for making them fat and creating fake stories of being a psychic...

I was watching all the episodes from season 1 episode 1 to season 7 episode 3 and I realised something odd about Wain Rijsbi. From the very start, I knew it was him because he is just like Red Jon; he is smart, tall and works in the FBI. In season 4 episode 27 (entitled "Red Rose"), Petrick says that Red John is in the FBI...so is Rijsbi!!! Plus, Ven Peelt, whom recently divorced Rijsbi also told Petrick that Rijsbi was Red Jon.
From the evidence above, it is now evident Wain is Red Jon.

First I would like to say, that is more like "what if", than Sherlock Holmes type of theory.

But think about it for a moment, please. WHAT IF Red John is Rigsby?

I know it is almost impossible (he is too young, blah, blah, blah), but would not that be fuc*ing perfect in every inch? NOBODY SUSPECTS HIM.

Married, have a child... Ow! Is he not a cute one? And then BANG! SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER! (~James Doakes) 

All those days that Jane used to mock him, that he used to think he is just normal, brave, but not very clever guy. That he is just Wayne. All those days Red John was smarter than Jane and felt satisfaction mixed with excitement because of Patrick lack of knowledge.

McAllister, Smith or Bertram being Red John is to obvious and it would disappoint me hardly.

Rigsby is Red John & has seduced Van Pelt to be a follower.  I imagine the real manipulation occurred after she killed her former fiance.  He is good looking and charismatic enough to manipulate, especially after forming relationships.  He has always been the supposed dumb/nice jock of the group to hide his true diabolic mastermind nature.

Under this theory:

1.  It meets the Keysor Soze theory, because no one would suspect Rigsby (too nice, naive, second fiddle to Cho, etc).
2.  Would meet the amazing reveal criteria, because it reveals not one, but two members of Janes CBI team as villains.
3.  Rigsby fits the physical criteria.

Owain Yeoman "Wayne Rigsby/ Red John" is the most accomplished person, let alone actor, on the show, and was cast to be Red John from the start. They have known all along, as we should suspect they would. He is Welsh, His father, Mike Yeoman, is a nuclear physicist. He speaks 4 languages, speaks intermediate Welsh, A-level French and German, has a degree in English from Brasenose College, Oxford, he is a classically trained actor who graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London in 2003, and not only did Owain participate in rugby, rowing and hockey at college and university level, but he also represented Wales in Hockey. If that's not enough, check this…his heroes are his wife, Lucy Davis, because of her subtlety to acting and Edward Norton because of his ability to change roles, which Owain has said to be what acting is all about.

Oh, as for evidence… Wayne shook hands with Jane after his father died, is afraid of heights (watch his subtle face quirks and cautious steps up the ladder to inspect paint on hammer), and what happened to the mother of his child? haven't seen her since she broke news of pregnancy, has always felt like the 5th wheel… lurking in background just taking it all in, has no fear when duty calls, spent childhood with father in prison… and I assume he killed his father…spiked his beer.
