This isn't a theory but a technical question. A couple months back I noticed something about Bertram from earlier in the series (perhaps from season 3). I didn't actually have him on the top of my list, but I wrote some comments anyway because there were some clues potentially pointing to him... And I can't for the life of me remember what I wrote, and because of how this site works I cannot seem to find my original comments. It's almost impossible to troll through all the comments on Bertram as it slows down my ipad/computer to the point that it hardly functions. On top of that, something must have gone wrong with my "username" so I'm not actually sure who is said wrote the post.
