THE THEORIES

I'm still not convinced that Bertram is RJ. I mean, he tried to kill Jane. RJ would never do that, or he would to that but in a classy way. Also, Bertram looks too dumb. It took a group of suspects meeting to discover his identity after 10 years? Come on..

IMPORTANT
: In episode 7 Bertram calls someone called "Thomas" at the phone. Thomas is the first name of the sheriff.

[Spoiler] You can see McAllister reaching Patrick in the church in the "Red John" promo. And Patrick running after him in the park. Then, the sheriff is Red John at the end.So, I think that nobody died in the explosion.

P.S. I give up, they we'll never show us Partridge's really dead body. What's the meaning of the burned shoulder? Was TT trying to removed the evidence of the tattoo? They promised to explain his death, but they didn't. He still remains the Red John of my dreams.

Watch the extended promo

Freeze the frame at 23 - 24 seconds, watch in slow motion, if possible.

There is a live pigeon on Mary's hand!

Also, concerning the still shot before RJ comes through the window: that is not the stunt double. The double is not used until he crashes through.

"The Great Red Dragon" is one who has a "fatal" (or so it is thought) wound that is healed.

McAllister it is!

Bruno Heller is a coward. The whole list thing from last season and showing RJ in the fucking promo is just there to make people analyse things slowly so they don't get disappointed. And they tried to make suspects look legit for fuck's sake no one whistles the entire first 5 season and all of a sudden everyone is fucking whistling.

I can't believe I wasted my time on this garbage.

In this theory I would just like to point out possible crucial clues that could help with identifying RJ

-In the extended promo I couldn't help but notice something. Something everyone was talking about in the beginning of Season 6 ... Yeah that's right = PIGEONS!!
-If you pause at the 10th second you would see Thomas McAllister smashing through the glass so that means he's in the next episode.
-Sophie Miller said Red John was an excellent whistler. In Episode 7 we can see CBI Ron whistling

This is my theory:

RJ is indeed McAllister.

At the beginning of the next episode, McAl walks into the church where Jane is sitting there from the end of the previous episodes. He then proceeds to telling Jane he won because Jane accused Bertram. Notice the suit McAl is wearing, it's the same suit we see him in running away later, he just was wearing a grey shirt under it that isn't visible from the back.

Anyways, Jane proceeds to wanting to kill McAl but McAl makes one of his infamous RJ escapes. That's why Jane is now chasing him down later. Jane then finds him in the park, and kills him.

How did McAl escape the explosion you might ask? Rigsby said the bodies weren't really identifiable, but they found DNA. My guess it is that they didn't really find bodies, just parts and small pieces burnt to a crisp. McAl planted his DNA and got out of there ASAP. With no McAl seen leaving, and planted DNA, CBI assumed he was dead, probably blown to pieces.

Thomas is a masculine given name. It is based on the Biblical Greek Θωμᾶς, which is itself a transcription of the Aramaic te'oma תאומא "twin"
