I think people are looking to far into it...
This is just a thought..
It was said that at the end of season 3 by Heller that Jane would face Red John. Not kill him. Just face him. Bertram was the one who faced him in that season. Im not saying that Red John is him. But so far this is the theory that has stuck out the most. Especially Because Robin Tunney said that she was surprised at who Red John was. Which would make perfect sense. As an actress in the show you wouldn't expect it to be the person in charge of the CBI. It also gives him an inside view to everything Jane is doing. And is extremely creepy because Jane sees him almost every day. In the episodes of season 6, Bertram has also 'flown under the radar', there hasn't been an episode on him yet. And he hasn't been shown as someone that Red John could be, besides from being on the list, we have nothing else that could link him.
If i had to choose one on the list it would be Bertram... Although all of them seem to have 'Red John' traits, i think that is to make the fans continue to guess. Which is working, cause the more i read the theories the more ideas i get.
One thing is for sure but... I am freaken excited to to find out!!!!
