Theories of BillBlake (2)

Fans of the show are aware of the recurring William Blake motif. The key to understanding this clue is that it's RJ, not the writers of the show, who is intentionally using these references. Let's see where this idea takes us.

Here are some of the well-known references:

* Brett Patridge's name refers to a Blake painting, "A brace of patridge".
* RJ quotes to PJ a Blake poem, "The Tyger", and members of the "Tyger Tyger" conspiracy use this phrase on multiple occasions.
* Episode 7 of season 6 is named in reference to a series of Blake paintings, "The Great Red Dragon".

This last one is particularly interesting, since it seems that the writers, not RJ, are making the reference. My theory predicts that the episode will include some reference, if only a vague one, by RJ to the titular dragon.

If RJ is indeed the author of the Blake references, as in the Tyger case (also uttered by BP when found dying by Lisbon), it seems likely that one of his aliases will also be such a reference (namely, Brett, spelled with "a brace of T"...). And no, I'm not going to get into that whole "he's dead" argument.

But then there's one more early Blake reference. In episode 12 of season 1, the victim is killed after being cursed by a self-proclaimed witch called Tamzin Dove.
Tamzin = twin = pair = brace.
Dove = bird = patridge (no ornithology lessons, please; I know they are very different birds).
Tamzin Dove = A brace of patridge.

This raises a lot of questions:

* If BP is named in reference to Blake, is TD named so too?

* If so, is TD RJ's daughter? She certainly fits: her real name is Sarah Jones from NJ ("Sarah Jones is dead"), her mother committed suicide when she was 16, she doesn't know who her father is, and she has a psychiatric history.

* If so, was it arranged for PJ to take the Cody Elkins case and meet TD? Why?

* TD is portrayed by Azura Skye. Is there a connection to the upcoming episode 9, following RJ's reveal, named "My Blue Heaven"? Will the daughter continue in her father's footsteps?

Last week I made a very simple prediction about this week's episode: that the Blake reference will not be just in the episode's title, but explicitly articulated by the characters.

And sure enough, we learn about the "Blake Organization".

Why is this significant?
Up until now there was only the poem "Tyger Tyger" as a definite inside-the-show reference to Blake.
Yes, Bertram quoted "A Cradle Song" at the end of "Red Queen", but that could be random.

But now we know that Blake references are significant - they are messages from RJ, rather than an artistic device by the writers of the show.
There's only one message that is more incriminatory than Bertram's quotation, and that's someone having such a reference as their alias.
Yes, "A Brace of Partridge", I'm looking at you.

I'm not going into the whole "he's dead" argument.
Suffice to say that even in this week's episode, Cho does not take a look at BP's face.
What amazing storytelling!
