Why is everyone so convinced that Red John killed the PI, or even has a tattoo for that matter? When has there ever been any evidence that Red John is the one who kills his diciples? Loralli and the shrink are the ONLY followers that RJ put his mark on. All others were taken care of by Tiger Tiger, proving they are his followers or maybe a better name, his "cleaners". People who are trying to say that the Tiger organization is something completely different than RJ are ignoring key evidence. We KNOW that RJ quoted the poem to Patrick and it has significance to him. Why would a secret group, in no way connected to RJ, use the same poem as a code to each other? Or better yet, how would they know that poem is significant to RJ since Patrick kept that to himself until after one of the followers used it? Why would the leader of such a group mark themselves with the same tattoo? If he is the leader, he has no need to be marked. The mark is just a way for all his followers to be able to know for sure that another member is in fact who they say they are.
Patrick must know this too because he isn't stupid. This is all an ellaborate trap he has set up to draw RJ out. The bomb may have been an attempt by RJ to keep his followers from talking. Remember, Bertram called someone and informed them of what was going on. We have no idea who he called.
