Who is Red John?

Theories of Darren1987 (4)

Why is Partridge at the 5570 West Huron the whole time the surveillance is active in 6x01?

The reason I say he was there the entire time tracking was active was these screen shots.

The screen is show first when Van Pelt first contacts Lisbon to say the tracking is active. The second time is when Lisbon was in her office and got the call directed at her unit. This should the entire time that tracking is active in this episode.

So Brett Partridge was at that house for a while? but why?

Bob Kirkland asks Alexa Shultz to get information on Jane via Virgil Minelli and later Madelin Hightower. Alexa could be working for "Tyger, Tyger" group. The conversation below makes me doubt that though.

Was she working with Kirkland all along? Bob Kirkland was shown to highly prepared. He bought all possible combonations of the coffee to be prepared. Does he have fail safe plans in the event of his death? Do they involve other people?

Alexa Shultz and Gale Bertram talk before a press conference as a court house. Here is the conversation.
Bertram: Alexa. Hi. (Chuckles) We still have a deal, right?
Alexa: I'd rather eat spiders, but, yeah, we still have a deal.
Bertram: Good, good. God, you look fabulous, by the way. Camera ready. Is--is my tie straight?
Alexa:  You understand, Gale, this matter doesn't end here. You have to give us Lorelei Martins, or there'll be consequences down the line.
Bertram: Consequences for whom? It was your agents that killed the best chance we've had yet of catching Red John. It was your Agent Darcy that killed Wainright.
Alexa: Tragic outcome in a deadly force situation. Agent Darcy is devastated. She's had a nervous collapse, in fact. Your people committed deliberate crimes.
Bertram: Well, that's debatable. Look! We have agreed to a cover-up. That's the deal. If you're saying now that... (Chuckles) you're gonna dig this all up again unless I do your bidding, then no deal. No, let--let's tell the truth right now. An FBI agent shot and killed a CBI agent in the midst of a botched operation. It'll be a huge scandal, we'll probably lose our jobs, but I'm sure we'll both feel better for it

Alexa Shultz and Robert Kirkland were working together for a long time as shown in Red Dawn. She was forwarding information on Patrick Jane.

From the conversation above I would say she is not in Tyger, Tyger.

Who is Alexa Shultz loyal to?

Who is Gale Bertram loyal to?

I think Bertram is Red John and either controls, works for, or maybe against the "Tyger Tyger" group. I am not sure which. The groups origins will be important in figuring that out.

My guess is that Brett Styles starts Tyger Tyger for visualize protection purposes. Burtram might have assisted in its creation.

Burtram(Red John) might hold some grudge against Visualize and Brett Styles so it working against their protective organization to destroy the church.

just an idea. I really am not sure. I am going with Bertram as Red John. The details could vary a lot.

I'm not going to hazard a guess, but offer a few points that people may have not thought too deeply about.

Bob Kirkland works for homeland security and, as witnessed in one episode, is in league with Bertram and member/s of the FBI. This leads me to believe that Red John is not just a serial killer, but presents an issue if he is caught by the wrong people, including CBI, and most certainly Jane. Red Johns resources and information also hint that he could have more information that cannot be revealed. I believe Bertram and Kirkland can be ruled out, and are acting as a third investing party for their own ends. Also, there has to be more to Red John knowing Janes happy memory, such as knowing him, or just of him, before the events leading to the start of the show took place. In what capacity I can't be sure, but Heller is very precise in his planning and I don't think these loose ends just happened by chance. I therefore think that season sixes main focus will be on the full backstory of Red Johns connection to Jane, as well as Homeland securities invested interest in him. As Heller said that anyone as Red John is going to be a disappointment I think he plans to offset that by having a great and much deeper backstory to Red John, and his connection to Patrick Jane.

If I was pushed for a guess I would go for Sheriff mcallister. I won't list any evidence to support this, Ii just feel that if he were any of the organisations (visualise/Haffner FBI/Smith CBI/Partridge) subordinates they wouldn't be able to act as freely as they do, and if it were the leader of the organisation (visualise/Styles CBI/Bertam Homeland Security/Kirkland) then it would be too easy to explain away. Also, he is the only one out of the seven that isn't in a high position of power. He is Sheriff, but I don't put that in the same league as the rest.
