Who is Red John?

Theories of LOL_No (2)

Tyger Tyger

I think were all missing something big here. After watching episode 4 it seems everyone fixated on the idea that the Tyger Tyger group works for red john it is possible that it may be the other way round and that red john works for the Tyger Tyher group or jsut happens to be a member. Bruno heller stated that both actors that play both reed smith and gale bertram will return after the red john arc is over. Bruno goes as far as telling us that the walls around the cbi are crumbling and that they are having to deal with a great threat from inside(this is from a interviewe he gave after season 6  epsiode 2 explaining the meeting of bertram, smith and mcallsiter) so could this be the big threat that they are dealing with? It surely seems so and maybe the Tyger Tyger group will be what the mentalist focus on after the red john arc and maybe all this time red john was jut trying to help/taunt patrick with this information i  the hope he found out more of this group.

I don't know who's RJ, but it's definitely not Bret Partridge. Everyone who thinks it is him is taking all the clues too literally. You can't trust anything of the details about height, weight, beard, hair, age, etc. since they change over time and could easily be frauded.

Even if Red John is a group, there is still a leader to that group who is the true RJ. The 7 people list could be a white lie on the producer's part on so many levels. Maybe someone on the list is technically a RJ, but no the leader. Maybe Jane had more suspects and lied to Lisbon.

Anyone arguing for PJ is also wrong. Multiple personality disorders do not work like that. There's no way he could keep a part of his personality away from himself and everyone else. Obviously the childhood memory is extracted from a relative of Jane's; there's no mindreading or hypnosis involved for that either.
