They told us that in this episode we would find out the reason why Brett Partridge was murdered...but we didn't. Yes, Partridge said "Tyger, Tyger" before he died, and yes, we found out that Tyger Tyger is the password for a "group" of people within the CBI/FBI. Yet..that still tells us NOTHING about why Partridge would be murdered. Was he a liability? How? Why was it necessary that he be eliminated? He seems so fascinated by and admiring of Red John..why would he ever try to reveal his identity (if he knew it.) Doesn't seem like he would want to betray someone who seems to be an idol to him. Here is my humble opinion:
I still choose to believe that Partridge is Red John and faked his own death. Why? Because there is still no proof to show me I'm wrong. And until Red John is revealed to be someone else, I will not change my opinion. Honestly, I think all of the other suspects would be disappointing. There would be no "wow" factor, no "Didn't see that coming" as said in the words of Sheriff McAllister. Just think of how awesome a moment it will be if/when Jane gathers all of the remaining suspects together in "Fire and Brimstone" and he suddenly realizes something, and he turns around and says "Red John is none of these men." Now THERE would be a shock factor! Still crossing my fingers for Partridge.
What do you guys think?
