Who is Red John?

Theories of Thomiseen (1)

Watching a lot of The Mentalist lately, great, great show! The Writers do a great job of letting us think that many characters could be RJ, yet at the same time, they give each character a reason not to be RJ. Here are some of the things I'd been thinking about as I watch the show and read the posts on this great site.

1) Can RJ really be PJ? This would be a great all time twist! However, I think we are to far along with physical evidence that would have to be dismissed/explained to make this so. To do the twist now would just not be believable; let alone ruin the show's hero. I think the Bob Kirkland story will go back to suspecting Jane. After all, the FBI/Homeland only keep tabs on you if you are a possible danger or suspect. RJ had no reason to fear Jane getting close right off the bat. Now he kinda enjoys it. I think the authorities have been investigating PJ for something all along, right or wrong on their part.

2) I want to see more stories/episodes that follow more leads?!?

A) Christina Frye, just disappeared, why no mention of her? Is she out of the trance with no memory or does she still just stare at the walls?
B) Luther Wainright, did anybody even bother to ask the question about how he ended up in RJ's Limo?
C) Todd Johnson, I find the following description interesting; "he claims that his father, who was a police officer, was a kind man and that his mother was a saint." Could this be RJ's son? John-son? after-all RJ used Oliver Tanner's son, Dumar, in the episode "Red John's Foot Steps" If RJ had is own son, wouldn't he have used him also?

I also want to see some more character backgrounds, especially if we are going to suspect them of being RJ on here.

A) Brett Stiles, great character/actor, whats this guy's full deal? He has skills, but Jane seems to trust/understand him. What else could he be up to? I want more!

B) Alex Jane, CBI Ron, Van Pelt's Father.....unless these characters are more developed, I doubt the Writers are just going to be like, oh by the way, one of them is RJ just because they made a 1 episode appearance?!?

And finally, who is the "AG"? In almost every episode they mention the Attorney General wants this, the AG wants that, ect? When Bob Kirkland walks by Jane the first time they meet, there's a picture on the far  wall, down the hall, could that be him? Are there other episodes that we see the AG's picture and this counts as "seeing" RJ? If so, like above I'd like to see more real character development. After-all, if RJ is more mastermind then slasher and truly controlled a large organization wouldn't he have to be at the very-very top?!? The AG would have this power!

Just some musings, please keep posting and watching this great show!!
