I know a few ways to find out who Red John is but for this, we have to get help from other TV shows as follows:
1- Mr. Reese and Harold Finch from "Person of Interest" could help us find the social security number of the victim or Red John before a murder but they have to move the machine to California first.
2- Raymond Reddington from "The Blacklist" could get to him using his connections.
