Who is Red John?

Theories of goodtheories24 (5)

I can't believe that I missed this before. If you see "Red-Hair and Silver Tape", this is kinda a really creepy conversation :

Mcallister : Who is this guy?

Lisbon : He's a consultant. You want CBI assistance, he comes as part of the package.

Mcallister : (@ Jane) Consultant, eh? What are you, clairvoyant or some gizmo? You've got psychic powers?

Why did he come up with the 'consultant' thing in the first place? Also, when you see the look on Mcallister's face, he's not mocking Jane. He's taunting him..

Of the seven people, the only people who were young enough to have been "the kid" at Elliston Barn, and still old enough to have been friends with Orvalle Tanner (Dumar/Sheriff Hardy's Dad) are :

1. Sheriff Mcallister
2. Gale Bertram

Of these two, Sheriff Mcallister as Red John makes more sense. He and Tanner could've both been in Elliston Barn, and he's the one who could've most likely gotten Dumar a job in the Sheriff's office

I'm pretty sure that Bruno Heller had already introduced Red John in the first season (or by latest the second one), because he had no idea if the show would continue, and in the worst case, he would've wanted Red John to be atleast introduced as a person to the audience. Cross- referencing that fact with Jane's list, that only gives three names :

1. Brett Stiles
2. Sheriff Mcallister
3. Brett Partridge

(A) Since Brett Stiles was the one who assigned Red John (the 'kid') to work in Elliston Barn (If you closely listen to Cooper on that episode), and since Partridge is the more obvious choice, that leaves only one man : Sheriff Mcallister.

(B) He was acting like a creep when he tried to escort Grace Van Pelt, so it could be obvious to guess that he could've kidnapped, raped and killed Miranda Martins.

(C) And this is the stupidest theory you could find, but Jane and Mcallister didn't become lifelong friends. You could see that the Sheriff was so pissed when he couldn't beat Jane in, after all, a normal game of Rock, Paper and Scissors...

(D) The guy who killed Rebecca had a Sheriff's uniform, and his body build resembled that of Mcallister.

(E) Simply, he's the one most people wouldn't give a second thought about, because he appeared in only one episode. The list could've contained Minelli, Masburn, or even Ron (ESPECIALLY Ron), and people would've really considered any one of them to be Red John (I did, myself, see #4298). But why, specifically, would Jane note down the Sheriff's name??

What if the man that saved Jane wasn't the Real Red John. It could've been Timothy Carter (Similar Voice), or Todd Johnson ("Tyger Tyger")

Does anyone else have a gut wrenching feeling about Kirkland?
All of a sudden, Homeland Security wants to be on the Red John Investigation. They are supposed to deal with mainly terrorists, so why the fascination with Lorelei and RJ? Kirkland wants to squeeze every bit of information from Jane that he can about his knowledge of RJ.
Maybe this is all just circumstantial but I still have a really bad feeling about him
