Amanda has confirmed that herself and rigsby will in fact start there own detective thing after red john, as that magazine spoiler foretold. That would mean that the article is somewhat legit. But it also stated that red john revealed himself to patrick in this episode because he "desperately wants a relationship with him." So whats up with that, didnt seem like he wanted a relationship to me.
