For starters, it seems they are doing an episode of each one of the suspects and then the eight episode is named Red John.
Anyways, the reason I suspect Raymond Haffner (Not going through all the physical descriptions and whatnot) is because he used to work for the CBI and was in the perfect position to keep tabs on everything.
The main reason is because I have clicked onto something.
Lorelei Martins told Jane him and Red John are just like each other. I think this meant something else. Something different & I'm surprised no one has mentioned or figured this out.
It's no doubt Patrick Jane has feelings for Teresa Lisbon. But so does Raymond Haffner...
