I have always believed that the masked man at the season 2 finale was red john. However, according one of Bruno Heller's recent interviews, he stated that the character himself didn't even know he was red john prior to the shooting of the "Red John" episode. So my question is, how can the real red john be at the season 2 finale if he didn't even he was red john? If everyone still recall, the masked man at the season 2 finale was quite tall and had pretty skinny and long legs(watch when he was walking towards Jane). If that man is indeed red john, then we can pretty much eliminate Reede Smith and Bob Kirkland since they both have pretty chubby legs. But after hearing what Heller just said, that masked man may not be red john, which means that anyone on or not on the list can be red john. I can't be sure who red john is, but I have a hunch that its going to be Sheriff McAllister. I personally cannot wait for the reveal of red john!
