People, we're all fans here and we need to respect each other's wishes. This site is as much about who we want to be Red John, as well as who it definitely is. This is how it is. All the polls indicate a total of 50% here are Partridge fans and a total of 50% here are Fans of Any of the Other suspects. So there's 2 groups.
But here's why we can't co-exist: There are actually 3 types of Mentalist fans:
Fans of any Suspect; These are the fans who want a completely original plot with twists and turns! These people value originality, and don't want the Mentalist defamed for having its much-revered villain, Red John, moulded into the stereotypical profile of a Forensic. Their chosen suspect is the one who they interpret oozes a sociopathic charisma, and a character they have their own beautiful, creative vision for.
Partridge fans; These are the fans that are loyal, scrupulous, puzzle-solvers! These are the people who watched every episode waiting for a satisfying completion, a beautiful ending where all loose ends are tied into one perfectly woven story, regardless of the surprise factor.
Retards; These are fans in EITHER of the above categories, who write stupid theories pissing off people from both groups in turns. These are the dumbasses who completely dismiss the presence of the other group and descend to calling them names. And most of all, they are a discredit to their favoured suspect.
