The way things played out don’t make any sense from a Red John character perspective.

Red John had no reason to reveal himself to Jane. Jane, the CBI or the FBI were not closing in on him.

Why decide to finally kill Patrick? Was he mad that Blake Association was revealed?

And the way that Red John had Bertram killed didn’t make sense for the character of Red John or fit with the past actions of the Blake Association.  If Red John followed his past actions, he would of killed Bertram and left a smily face on the wall so everyone knows that Bertram wasn’t Red John.  RJ is a narcissist and wouldn't want to let someone else have credit for what he has done.  RJ has killed at least 3 people for using his name in vain and two others for pretending to be him.

Just want to share something I saw in the next sunday's episode promo.
Please watch it here: (   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z77P7ebT0QI   )
What I noticed: If you pause the video about the 20 seconds, when RJ says "....is over and I won", you can see that he moves his hand. That hand has a ring on it.
After that, in the promo Jane replies, "this is not a game", if you pause when Jane shoots, you can see RJ lifting his left hand again. That hand DOES NOT have a ring on it.
If you cannot stop at the exact moments, I made a picture so everyone can see that.
Here's the link: https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1470291_10202827578876256_914275098_n.jpg
So this means, that probably Jane will meet with more than 1 person in the church. Red John might have a ring or not.So they might make a editing on the video and audio. They might have changed the audio for the promo to fit other part of the video. So there's not actually the sequence, do you know what I mean? Probably they want to direct us to think that RJ is the bald guy that appears in the church.
But I think RJ is not bald, actually Rosalind Harker said that RJ has hair.
So my conclusion: I think that the guy that is bald going in the Church might be Bertram (looks like him), or McAllister, or Sean Marlow (the psychic) that talks with RJ. And actually the ring that we see in the picture is really alike to Marlow's ring in this video that someone already shared:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8COaSZHveg

My other conclusion. From all the suspects, the only one without a ring, is Brett Partridge if I'm not wrong. So Brett might still alive after all, and might be him lifting his hand when Patrick shoots (no ring).

I would love to see Brett Partridge as Red John, or CBI Ron. I think CBI Ron must have something to do with RJ.
Also I think there's a possibility to be Michael Kirkland. I don't know.. Just wanted to share some evidence about that ring stuff.
I hope we all get what we are expecting in next sunday's episode. To be surprised!
Have a nice week!

As we all of course know, the leaked episode is just a stupid fake. Never ever could the producers think of such a lame ending for the Red John arc. Not even the actors are real and clearly photoshopped into some holiday pictures from Bruno Heller. The story is so hilarious, everyone can see that there aren't enough drugs in California for writers to come up with such an ending. A pigeon? Seriously?

But well, just for the fun of it, lets assume for a moment that this will be the episode that airs on Sunday (a bit more polished of course) and McAllister is really the sad excuse of a Red John of the faked version.

For everyone who can't believe it, here are the top 10 explanations about what might have happened:

10. Someone at CBS messed up big time and aired the fake episode instead of the real one.

9. Some crazy guy with a pizza hat took the pigeon hostage and demands to air the fake episode or he will kill the pigeon!

8. Bruno Heller lost a huge bet against the producers of Jersey Shore and had to put this on air. (And Snooki will be a guest star in an upcoming episode)

7. The whole real life is a fake and now we have the proof.

6. It was an act of god, to remind us about his powers.

5. It was an act of the devil, to remind us that he holds the copyright on evil™

4. Peta stopped the real episode to protect the pigeon from bad story writing.

3. It was just a filler episode because of the sports event, the real episode will air next week - really! Trust me!

2. Red John is a true psychic and made us all believe that we saw a faked episode while in fact the real one was aired.

And the number 1 explanation why the fake episode might air on Sunday:

1. They realized in the last minute that the real episode is even worse because it featured a guest appearance of Kermit the frog as Red John.

See you on Sunday night!

The whole point of this episode was not to just reveal the identity of Red John. It was to explain every clue we had.
"He Is Mar", how did Red John guess the list of 7, the Visualize farm, how was he always one step ahead of Patrick, I expected A LOT of flashbacks, explonations for example what "created" Red John, Bosco's final words, Rosalind's description being different from the actual appearance of RJ, Kristina Frye's zombiness, and most of all I think - I wanted his reveal to be a thrilling second, no matter who it would be, I wanted the moment of his appearance on the screen to be something to remember, and yet we figured out who he is after seeing the promo... That's just wrong, it's almost unbelievable... We had fantastic season 3 finale, the original reveal of RJ's identity, we had great season 4 finale, the "game changing" season 5 finale, they all were supposed to lead to this episodes, those few scenes where it all was supposed to be explained. I don't really care who's Red John. McAllister is fine, I can live with that. But they explained nothing, even though choosing the character, that we saw only once in almost 6 seasons gave the writers a fantastic possibility to fit him into any Red John incident we've seen, so why wouldn't they do this?
Also, I'm sorry, but if someone would tell me "yeah, the great Red John we know, the cold, sadistic, emotionless serial killer is gonna beg for his life like a little bitch, and is really kinda sorry for killing people", I would laugh this person to death...
That's really disappointing... I feel cheated... I always believed, that everything they did in this show will make sense after airing the episode like this, I thought that what they did wasn't just a random stuff they said and showed about Red John, at least in last 2-3 seasons, I thought it all lead to something. Turns out, they had no idea what they were doing... I'm not even angry, I'm just... yeah, I'm just disappointed.
Sorry for my english.

Sad to confirm that we have seen the real episode, just not the finished cut... More frustrated than angry, feels like I've wasted my time following this character, huge disappointment. I liked the idea of the Sheriff as RJ, but that was so poorly done, the Pigeon scene is the biggest joke I have ever seen in television, laughable. The great RJ defeated by a fucking bird.
