I don't have a theory but I want to be part of the whoisredjohn cult so we can stop Heller.

I am not too worried about "Spoilers". When you visit a site called 'Who is Red John", what do you expect? So please quit whining about spoilers.

Here is the deal. I have watched the leaked episode and I just watched the actual episode here in Australia. And here is the scoop--They are the same episode.

The only difference in the 2 episodes is commercials and louder music. Other than that, everything written on here about the leaked episode is right on.

Mcallister IS Red John. Please give the Partridge is Red John thingy a rest. Brett Stiles was blown to smitherines and so was Haffner. Bertram took a bullet to the gut, and Jane finished what he set out to do years ago--Kill Red John!

1. Cho = Badass

2. Even though we're all guilty of it, let's all try to not assassinate Heller before the official episode (whether it's the same as the leaked or a completely different version) is ACTUALLY on air. I know I had my fair share of Heller-bashing along with you guys, but I'm going to refrain from that until I actually see the episode. Then we can move on to either step 3 or 4, whichever is more appropriate.

3. In the case that Heller is a genius and played us for fools with a deliberately leaked episode, I think it's in our best interest to worship the man and be ready with our apologies.

4. In the case that Heller is a complete jackass and decided to change nothing from the leaked version, it's most probable that we arrange a "whoisredjohn" cult to seek our revenge for this bullshit. We will arm all loyal fans with torches and pitchforks to storm Heller's house and burn it to the ground. We will kidnap Heller and bring him back to our secret hideout, where we will coat his naked body in pigeon food. "RELEASE THE PIGEONS" is heard from the microphone and Heller begins to panic. A flock of 50 pigeons rush through the opened door and leave Heller in excruciating pain. Our method of torture, called "Pigeonboarding," seems to be the most effective method in existence. Heller is in tears, begging for mercy, but the loyal fans will have NONE OF HIS SHIT! Among us lies a competent tattoo artist, who will mark Heller with the classic Red John smiley face, only this time, it will be white—in honor of pigeon shit. Now we force Heller to recreate Season 6 Episode 8 to our hearts content. Once the episode is complete, Heller will appear in front of the press, only this time, he will have a shitty tattoo on his forehead (literally). He is taken as a joke and his nobility withers away. As he is leaving the stage, our cult will have organized pigeon-food confetti to launch from every possible direction. The pigeons swoop in and devour Heller in front of millions of viewers. And they (the fans) lived happily ever after.

YOUR MOVE HELLER.

Bret Stiles is the only Logical person who can be Red John.

1- He convinces people spiritually to die for him
2- He may actually be a bad Psychic.
3- He has been accused for murder in his past.
4- Old enough to do the old crimes suspected to be made by RJ.
5- Partridge can only be a puppet of Stiles.

I actually think RED John Is a puppet of Stiles
I think RJ is seperated into two.

1-The Brains (Stiles)
2- He sends people to make his crimes..
3- The crimes that are signed by RJ and a bloody face is Bret Stiles himself.

Ok, here's what I have so far:

I think it's Brett Partridge and I think Partridge is Patrick Jane's half
brother...here's why:

In the poem "The Tyger" it is interpreted as a response to an earlier
poem by Blake "The Lamb".  In the line "Did he who made the
Lamb make thee?"...it makes it sound like the lamb and the tiger were made
by the same "God" but in the show, the mother.  Patrick Jane's
father Alex was a horrible abusive man but no mention of his mother at
all.

What if PJ and RJ's mother were one and the same?  But while PJ had Alex
as his father, RJ's father was Bret Stiles.  Why would they use the same
name, albeit spelled differently, in the same show?  So "their"
mother gave birth to them both with different fathers.  Bret Stiles is a
con man who founded "Visualize" who uses blood in their
ceremonies.  Bret Stiles found out or knew from the beginning that RJ was
his son and that's why he is protecting him.  And in the last episode when
PJ says one of the men in the room was RJ, Stiles laughed knowingly because he
knew RJ was NOT in the room.

In the interpretation of the poem they compare the lamb and the tiger to
good and evil.  Patrick Jane supposedly good and Red John bad.  He
may have grown up in Patrick's shadow (knowing or not knowing they were
related) and was jealous.  When he became famous and insulted RJ, RJ
retaliated by killing his wife and daughter.

Angela was also a carny and they ran away together which made her family
VERY upset.  Tanner probably teamed up with RJ because they both hated
Patrick.

Also, RJ was helped by Orville Tanner in his
first killing.   Patrick Jane's wife Angela's last name was
Ruskin.  Ruskin is Scottish and means "from a family of
tanners"  Tanners....Orville Tanner.  That CANNOT be a coincidence!

There was NO corpse so it was probably staged to make it look like he was
dead.  In interviews Heller said it definitely was one of the seven,
making Partridge still a contender because we all know RJ has done way worse
than fake a death.

I think this definitely goes all the way back to his carny days.  Plus,
for anyone to know Patrick's "happy memory" they would have had to
physically be there since PJ didn't tell anyone about the 4th of July party.

What do you think???

SPOILERS FREE
Just trying to nuance what's going on actually.

Hello
everyone,

For some
weeks, I’ve enjoyed coming here to read theories and see if some people shared
my point of view on RJ identity or find arguments that could seriously invalid
it. But I have to say that since the RJ episode leaked, I don’t enjoyed coming
here so much.

While I
understand that some (many ?) may be disappointed by the reveal and/or the way
it was done, I for myself am disappointed in the way many people reacted so badly
that they show little respect and/or are being aggressively insulting toward
the show creator and cast work.

I’m not saying that everyone should like the
episode and the RJ storyline ending, far from it, but I truly believe that some
people here forgot that we represent a minority of The Mentalist viewers, who
has been particularly involved in the RJ storyline to the point of spending some
amount of time trying to solve the mystery by ourselves. As such, we were predictably
bound to find the end of the RJ plot   quite simplistic, minimalist, while it’ll be satisfying
for the average majority of viewers.

Yes, a lot of theories here were interesting and
made sense, were inventive and original, sophisticated even, explaining details
only we would consider as relevant to the RJ plot (when the regular audience
wouldn’t even notice them) , but if we try to be objective, we have to admit
that few of them would have been credible in regard of the show history and
background, of the way it had been written all those years.

I am not criticizing
anyone there, as I myself made the same mistake regarding VP role in the plot,
understanding only after I published a theory that it was unrealistic, that
even if it made sense, it couldn’t happen in the real show.

I’ll only add one more thing : we should consider
as a success and not a disappointment that many of us have guessed or suspected
RJ identity before watching the confirmation in the episode, even before the
608 promo. For those of us that had been attentive lately to the evolution of
the theories, votes, opinions and questioning, it had been obvious that the
turning point in understanding the truth had been “Fire and Brimstone” episode.
That’s the proof if needed that this website has played its role.
I truly hope that
once the shock fade out, people will start to see the RJ episode on a more
objective basis and appreciate (I’m not saying liking) the last scheming of RJ,
a scheming that had taken 8 episodes to prepare and unfold. While I have a lot
to say about it and its conclusion, about the way RJ reacted when he understood
he had lost, I won’t be doing it in this post and wait until after the episode
aired.

I’ll just
conclude by that thought : for once that a serial killer demise is not realized
in a stereotypical way, we should be grateful of the writers for their will to
give an original touch to a show which had manage to keep us on our toes for no
less than five and an half season, a testament that it is a very good one.

PS : sorry for any mistake, as English is not my first language.
