Just continuing the musings on the theme: "McAllister - RJ? Seriously?"

In the video didn't he say "Until you catch me, or I catch you" ?

Not only the sheriff could catch Jane any time he would have wanted (as Jane is a public person, known to everybody), but he even got the best chance for a confrontation when they were alone on the roof in the wedding episode.

He missed this opportunity and then accpeted Jane's invitation (which at least felt a bit "strange" isn't it?) to Malibu (600km away) where he also said "You are wrong, I'm not RJ". What's the logic behind all of that?

Why didn't Jane go to Rosalind's house and call each of the suspects putting them on speaker phone?

He wouldn't be putting her at risk as a simple nod would do...

Season 4 episode 23 was one of the best episodes of this series .
Everyone go back and watch it . Its the anniversary of janes family's death. Rj gives him an anniversary card in his car. Rj later sends a little girl from with a red smiley face written on her hand. She asks patrick "if he gives up yet". Thrilling moment . Jane also verbally murders wayneright at the end. Calling him a mommas boy with the milk still on his lips from his moms breast ! Best scene ever .

O and funny thing , the little girl who met red john described him as a white guy with a baseball cap. And a guy with a very weird voice ! Now why on earth would macalister use his weird voice to the little girl who has no idea who he is? Red john took the girl from her class trip and brought her to patrick. Seems a little risky for a sheriff .

It still baffles me, Partridge was killed in a house filled with Pigeons. Supposedly it was Red John who murdered him and then put Partridges blood over Lisbons face.

The brutality of the murder and the Lisbon bit would suggest it was indeed Red John.

Here's the baffling bit, Jane got the upper hand on Sheriff Thomas McAllister [Red John] thanks to a pigeon. So how on earth could he keep his composure to do what he did to Partridge and Lisbon in a house with tonnes of pigeons?

McAllister is either not Red John or we've witnessed some major inconsistencies.

For the sake of my enjoyment, I choose to tell myself that Patrick knows this. He knows McAllister wasn't Red John.

Hmmm.

“He will face ramifications from killing Red John,” says Bruno Heller, who created the show, “and that impacts his ability to remain in law enforcement.”

In the larger picture, though, Heller says the show feels a sense of
liberation. Killing Red John “removes the darkness that was always
around the edge,” he says.

So a show that has always had a strong undercurrent of humor now may have more.

“We won’t dwell on Red John,” says Baker. “Jane will focus more on
questions like, ‘What do I have to live for? What do I do now?’ ”

Some fans have speculated that “The Mentalist” may end after this
season, so perhaps Heller and Baker wanted to finish the Red John arc
and give themselves half a season for an epilogue that obviously
interests them.

Heller doesn’t frame it like that.

“The way to truly surprise people,” he says, “is to do something before they think you’ll do it.”

Red John and the Blake society are gone and we need to move on. Long live this website! and http://redjohnisdead.wordpress.com/?p=115&preview=true
