There is something strange about the The Red Tattoo episode of season six. Why would Haffner tell Lisbon, "there's a lot of powerful people jane's pissed off, not just Red John" when warning her to stay away from his affairs, and then "I just hope you remember I tried to help" as if there is something more going on, and if so, why are the writers suddenly ignoring all of that? A better question would be: which 'powerful people' (since the blake association is apparently dismantled), and how exactly does Haffner know? Incidentally, this is also the episode Jane happens upon the 'clue' that leads him to the supposed Red John.

I used to believe the RJ saga was over, but now, there are just far too many inconsistencies to support that conclusion. It is also incredibly strange that they completely strip the following episodes of any reference or real closure to Red John or the arc. It just happened and went the same way it did with Timothy Carter, and even then, he was referenced for a few episodes thereafter and given a proper closure. Either the writers have suddenly lost all their talent, or Heller is setting up something incredible. From the bottom of my heart, I do so hope it is the latter.

Hi Everyone,

just wanted to add personal comment to all the other ones about what Mentalist turned into.

please, for heaven sakes, stop saying that it's gonna be awesome from
this and this episode in the future, it won't, beacause Heller, producers, actors
don't give a flying fuck about this anymore, why should you.

PS. I turned the episode on today, saw lame dialogue between fisher/Jane, stupid Lisbon faces (I like her alot, but now....), really low class acting and writing, Simon Bakers poor attempts to act like good old Jane, and finally this blond chick - criminal mastermind. And above it all - 80% of comments on facebook page says "Yay, no red john, new Patrick is awesome... ". I said few weeks back I won't watch this anymore, thought maybe I was little hasty in this decision, but no...

good thing there is Sherlock, one show we can actually rely on.

Right from the start, I expected the last season of this show will be like this:

The first half of the season will be about Jane getting closer to RJ's identity and eventually learning who he is.
The second half of the season will be about Jane and RJ trying to kill each other, playing well-planned mind games and RJ will be killed in the series finale.

I was a bit puzzled when things didn't occur the way I expected. But human race is intelligent. Nobody makes the same mistake three times. First, McAllister can be seen as lying dead on the poster of the 8th episode. Second, McAllister can be seen running through the window in the trailer of the 8th episode. And third, the most important episode of the show leaks.

If RJ was McAllister, then everybody would be extra cautious about this week's episode. Obviously Heller was trying to deceive us, but he over-did it. Plus, nobody takes the main event out of the series before it ends. So I believe McAllister is not RJ.

But all these do not change the fact that this show is not working any more with a different story every episode. We've seen enough of a routine murder and Jane finding the killer. And the stupidest idea of all time is Lisbon not being in charge. I mean, she's like a whole new character now and i don't like it. I miss our Teresa Lisbon, the boss version.

Heller should branch off:

"Patrick Jane goes to the White House"
"Patrick Jane at the Pentagon"
"Patrick Jane takes Manhattan"
"Patrick Jane Meets Jessica Fletcher"

Nothing about this New Beginning feels right All the characters seem to be the opposite of what they were Cho is Mr. Personality Lisbon is a moron Rigsby is not a goof How is this a new beginning? Jane grows a goatee and stops wearing a vest but still wears his wedding ring these new eps will show us what life is like for Jane once he gets his revenge and the show gets a bit if a face lift and the fuckin dummies who were sick of RJ get to see something new from Jane & Co. But this is all set up for RJ's return This show just seems so dumb and straightforward now. Sorry guys in that bar Lisbon only fucks billionaires. Jisbon??? Who the fuck wants that ? Just thinkin about this shit is giving me a headache

Heller: "Red John is like Waldo". Like Waldo and only appeared once beforehand season 6?? My ass!! CBI Ron was like Waldo. Heller is a liar who never knew how to finish the story. He never knew who was RJ. They put clues to get audience. Clues with no sense that they couldn't even explain. Bunch of liars!!
