LATEST THEORIES

This is just a fun fact [no theory here]

In real life, Lisbon is played by actress Robin Tunney, of course.

Her full name is Robin Jessica Tunney, so she'd be "RJ" Tunney

Cute, very cute Heller!
His penchant for coincidences that mean nothing but a tease never cease, that's for sure LOL

I think, Marcus Pike is Michael Kirkland and he is the real Red John. He has changed his identity.

Wow, i'm so dissapointed in most of the people on this website,
Saying this is over, its a bad show, everybody hats it? ...
that's bullshit, i'm a big fan of TM. it's a great show, has great actors AND red john is NOT the most important part of the show.
The show is, like many other,n a detective.
It stars a great actor in a very nice role. It stands out just by his way of doing things.
It's based on a whole other perspective than most Detective series.
Thats what it makes such a geat show.

And Yes, RJ is a part of it. But it's more something they used to show what patrick's past is and how he became what he is now. They used it to build his character and they made it part of the show.
It's part of the story, and i really did enjoy it! Is it bad that it took 6 seasons? NO!
In my opinion, that is the best part of it.
Not like in every other TV show, where they find the killer in 1 or 2 episodes, or it took even a whole season to find him. No, they just slightly builded the story, piece for piece, and when it had reached it's highest point, they ended it. Just like Patrick told he would.

Am i still enjoying the show? offcourse i do! It's a great show, even without RJ! And what will happen next? was it really RJ? (i believe he was) But what if not? Or is there a new part coming? Will there be a season 7? Well thats something to find out... ;)

So my "guess or theory" on who is RJ? Sherrif McAllister!

grtz

Episode 20 will have a trial agains Patrick Jane if he is responsible of killing Red John.
S06xE20 is called "il Tavolo Bianco"

http://thementalist.wikia.com/wiki/Il_Tavolo_Bianco

at least they bring up the topic again.
there never was a seasons final without our friend RJ so hopes are ON again!

thumbs up so everyone can hope again of a RED JOHN revelation!

As a hardcore RJ Mentalist fan:

Each and every true "good old Red John times" fan by now hates this show.
Even RJ-Hardliners have given up their hopes a few episodes ago.

Which has lead me to the following BREATHTAKING REVELATION:

1. This (call it) low quality acting and writing and the huge lack of information regarding episode 08 ("Red John") should make us all hate this show (wait for it!!) so that when PATRICK JANE GETS KILLED BY THE REAL RED JOHN IN THE SEASONS FINAL NOBODY WILL BE SAD FOR HIM AND EVERYONE IS HAPPY THAT THIS SHOW FINALLY GOT THE END IT SO BITTERLY DESERVED.

2. Imagine on the other hand, that the awesome quality of the early episodes would still be there. If RJ killed Patrick we would all be so sad for ever. Now we would be happy (because we actually didn't lose 6 years of our lifes - which we did anyway :/ )

Don't forget to upvote if you agree,

cheers,

:D

This is what happens if you write the script and shoot the episodes at the same time with your ass in your hands. A total disappointment for the true fan. I know it's not the same concept but I stick with the Game of Thrones. It's pre-written and all tied up perfectly. No disappointment at all... :))))

Wow, I don't think I've ever watched a show before that jumps the shark every week. :-(

Typically a show jumps the shark once and then dies a quick death into oblivion whereas The Mentalist becomes magnitudes worse with every passing week.

It's almost like Heller is making a concerted effort do undo every bit of awesomeness the show once was.

The one positive outcome for me though is I know not to waste any time on Heller's new Gotham already knowing it will start off with a bang and then eventually degenerate into total suckdom.

I was huge Mentalist fan since season 1 (episode 1) but lost my enthusiasm after Jane's ridiculous acquittal in season 4 (episode 1), but kept hoping it would turn around and recapture what it once was. Of course it never did.

If the show had been canceled after season 3, it could have ended on the perfect high note and we could have all kept our happy memories of what had been a truly fantastic show. Now it's just painful (almost insulting) to watch, but I will watch it to the end of this season and ride the stock to the bottom (I'm sure it can get worse, Heller's proven that) because of all the time I invested.  Hopefully CBS will put it out of everybody's misery and not renew it.

I gave away my Season 1 DVD set to a friend so he could experience what a great show it once was. If I can find my season 2 DVDs I'll give those away as well.

Thankfully I never bought the other seasons, nor would I now.

If anybody visiting this site has never seen the earlier episodes, just watch the first 3 seasons and view the remaining seasons as a very, very bad dream that never happened.
